Delicious schnitzell, you should try it. It has a nice garden that you can watch the town square while you have your Mohren Brau beer, which is a local beer in Dornbirn.

Charming ambiance with brilliant food. The menu offers just the right amount of dishes. Located just next to the central church of Dornbirn with its special architecture. Try to get outside seating and don't miss to take a look at the rustic interior. Reserve in advance recommended

Sassy staff, the veal schnitzel is made from pork meat. The best meal is mixed salad. Better seating is outside. Dirty toilets. The disappointment

Food was simply adequate. We found none of our dishes to be especially delicious, and our servers did not seem to be happy with dealing with customers who spoke a limited amount of German (even though we tried our best!). It was nice sitting outside and people-watching, so for that we would rate this restaurant average.

This beautiful old building is amazing inside - its really like stepping back in time with low ceilings and doorways. Serving good food they handles out big group well. Really worth stopping here for the "Austrian" experience.

It's not just another antique looking place. It was the Home of the well known Rhomberg Family, Founders of the City Dornbirn. Beautifully preserved, now a cosy and homely Restaurant with an incredible Ambiance. My favourite is always the Backhendl (Crumbed Chicken) with a delicious potato salat. Not ideal for small children.

This place had very traditional furnishings and was very homey. I had a special carrot and ginger soup, which I found to be much bigger than a typical "starter" portion and quite delightful. The escalope was not my favorite but the portion was huge. The other dishes that people were having looked really good. I recommend trying it if in... More

Had dinner (outside) on a sunny day in August. Ordered a veal liver served with rösti (very tender and tasty, even if I'm not a lover of liver we followed the suggestion of the personnel) and a traditional dessert (kaiserschnarrn, excellent, prepared as traditional recipe requires). 35€ per person, excellent balance due to the position, the place within a historical... My husband and I visited Dornbirn with the intentions of shopping....but were drawn to Das Rote Haus. Beautiful restaurant, great food and fantastic service. Unfortunately I cannot remember our waiters name, but he was very friendly and spoke not only German, but English and French fluently (which is great for a Canadian-Austrian couple). We couldn't have asked for a better... More
