We ate here our first night in ST. While we found the reviewers correct in their high praises, we can't figure out why Al Chile Viola only ranks #13 in the area. It should easily find itself ranked in the top 3. We began our meal with an appetizer each; hubby got a salad that he raved about (my guy... More

Excellent Mediterranean food made by a chef from Florence, Italy. We went there two nights in a row and I ordered the same thing, yellow fin tuna with spinach crust on top. I ordered it rare and it was excellent. Probably the best crusted ahi I’ve had at a restaurant. Most restaurants grill it too much for my taste, however,... More

If this beautiful restaurant was located in a city in the US or Europe they would be on the news. The story goes that the chef enters the kitchen at 7am (there's no lunch) to prepare the food, sauces and pastas all day. Try the tuna tar-tar - rediculously good. The pasta is perfect, too. If you're in the area,... More

Lasagne was the best! Homemade pasta and great inventive cocktails. Atmosphere really nice. Wooden tables made from tree trunks and kitschy lights. Service great. Waitress told us about each item and when asked gave us her recommendations. For fresh and gourmet in laid back environment try Al Chile Viola. We will be back next year I hope.

This place is amazing! We ate there 3 times trying different dishes and cocktails. The flavors, quality of ingredients and ambiance make Al Chile Viola one of the best restaurants I've been to. Period.

We stayed in Mal Pais, and this is a ways into Santa Teresa, but it was worth the drive! I had tuna and my husband had Mahi Mahi. Huge portions and cooked perfectly! It was delicious and such a great environment as well.

Great and creative cocktails, fried calamari was wonderful. Hand picked wines paired well with a delicious tuna entrée as well as marlin. Owners Luce and Emiliano could not have been more gracious and we very much enjoyed chatting with them; they made us feel like old friends. Baffled by any negative reviews of this place---it was our favourite in Santa... More

The food is absolutely perfect, from appetizer to dessert: creative, beautiful, delicious. The place is charming and the people... make you feel as family. It is not just the best in Santa Teresa, would be one of the best anywhere.

The homemade pasta was fabulous along with the octopus appetizer. The restaurant is smaller and just off the road but close to our hotel and the food and drink was great and well-priced. The owners/chef are very welcoming. Go there!
