Laruni Hati is a beachfront thatched roof patio serving a limited menu of local cuisine. We really enjoyed the fried fish and stew chicken entrées, both with stewed beans and rice. A special delicacy are the fried plantains, and especially the fried green bananas. Both come hot out of the oil, but the fried green bananas have a sweetness delicacy... More

Didn't stay for dinner, but had the best Pina colada of my life - actual real pineapple bits and perfect sweetness. Great location right on the beach.

We had our last dinner on this beachfront restaurant. It was a gorgeous night with a full moon and the waves crashing onshore with the locals playing a board game under a nearby palapa. There were two fish specials. One was snapper and the other they couldn't recall the name of the fish. Hence, I decided to try the "mystery"... More

Stopped in for a late lunch as we were very hungry driving from Belmopan and saw good reviews on TA. What a great place to find, right on the beautiful beach, so refreshing after a rough drive. My wife really enjoyed her fish with stew beans, and I thought the stew chicken was amongst the best I had in all... More

A good good place with warm company and marvellous Marva is training her daughter! With a beautiful water views There is only outside eating. Art work on the walls is by her talented brother. I heartedly recommend this spot to chow down and soak up local flavour

I have now made 2 trips to Hopkins in the last few months. I stay fairly close to Laruni Hatie, and found myself their once a day eating the same meal over and over. The fish with stew beans, rice and a small salad. The fish is usually fried, but if you request, she will grill it for you. At... More

We came across Laruni Hati driving around Hopkins and thought we'd check it out. We must have eaten here at least 3 times during our stay at Jaguar Reef in Hopkins. The food is really good there, especially the fish with green banana. She prepared the banana like potatoes with salt and pepper. It sounds weird, but green banana isn't... More

North end overlooking the beach traditional Garifuna food (beware they tend to overcook fish) is served on a thatch roofed patio. It's has a simple furnishings and decorum (with good pricing) and when I was there on a weekend partaked in lively conservation with locals as well as tourists. It's a place in Hopkins that is still off the beaten... More

We ate here twice during our week in Hopkins, one for dinner and once for lunch. Both meals were very enjoyable. Local fish and chicken with rice and beans in a wonderfully rustic setting right on the beach in the north end of Hopkins.

Great location and easy to find. Our food was tasty and the portions were good. It took awhile to get our food, but it was worth the wait. We had the fresh fish, and it was really good. Prices were reasonable also.
