Two of the best meals we had in Belize

Loved this friendly and welcoming place. Shaded porch with a convenient outdoor sink for hand washing before and after your meal. Had breakfast one day and lunch the next. Short chalkboard menu. Great prices. Lovely fruit selection with each plate. They make all their own sauces from scratch, including the ketchup I think. Stuffed fryjacks, Belizean breakfast, breakfast burrito all... More

I was introduced to Sunny Side Up by a new friend I made while on vacation in Belize and she said, "Let's go to Sunny Side Up. You are not going to be disappointed!" Holy moley, was she right! Having never had a fry jack (let alone a stuffed fry jack) before and feeling adventurous, I placed my order. Maureen,... More

Our first meal in Belize was at Sunnyside. My husband and I had fish tacos. While we were waiting we had an opportunity to visit with the owner, Maureen and her two beautiful daughters. Those were the freshest fish tacos I have had in a long time. I didn't think that could be topped until a new friend and I... More

Local foods with American-sized portions. The traditional Belizean breakfast and fry jacks were our personal favorites-along with the fresh french press coffee and fresh pineapple smoothie. The service was wonderful and the food outstanding! A quick bike ride from the local resorts-this place is a must, especially if you are a breakfast lover!

Second visit to Hopkins and still some of the best meals their. The best breakfast burrito and homemade juices. Missing the Springbok flag in the shop though. Will bring one next time I visit.

Where to start?... The food was an amazing experience , local, carefully prepared... just thinking of the stuffed fried jack makes my mouth water! And Maureen is soooo nice (and her daughters so adorable!) It's a family restaurant where you immediately feel at home in every sense of the way: do not miss it if you go to Hopkins!

We loved going for breakfast, it was decent price and great food. Also Maureen, the owner, was very kind and friendly. My kids met her kids and her kids were so friendly to my kids.

Lovely clean and bright with welcome fans to create a draft. I had pork chop and roast potatoes and other half had teriyaki chicken and coconut rice. Lovely and washed down with local Lighthouse beers. Followed all this with an ice cream surprise which was delicious, ginger biscuit, fresh fruit pieces and ice cream. The manageress was very friendly and... More

Had a really great lunch - grilled fish fillet. We enjoyed watching the family play uno, and we got to have some fun jokes with the girls!
