My son and I had the hudutu (local dish with snapper in a coconut milk broth). Great meal, it was one of my sons favorite meals while in Belize.
Great local food for a decent price. The stewed chicken is some of the best we have tasted in belize. The thinly sliced plantains with ketcup mixed with hot sauce were good also. My husband tired the hudut and a different day the fish stew, Even though the fish dishes have bones the meat is tender and falls right off.
Innie's Restaurant offers traditional Garifuna cuisine at great prices. We went to eat at Innies twice and the food was always wonderfully delicious. Innies is famous for a couple Garifuna dishes and it is popular among tourists. We ordered the Hudut, one of the Garifuna dishes, during our first visit. Hudut contains fish (a whole small fish or slices of big fish) cooked in coconut milk and it is... More
