2 years ago we came here and loved it (my no.1 favourite in penang) despite being hot and sweaty from a big walk around the spice garden. that was not only because of the amazing food & cocktails & setting in the tree tops but because of the spot on service by a Nepalese host who had it covered from... We were just going to go for coffee and visit the gift shop ( which is lovely by the way). Feeling a bit pecking we were seduced by the Thai tapas on offer so we decided to go for 8 pieces for the two of us. The delicious tapas was a lovely surprise in particular the pandan chicken which was... More

I was excited about having lunch here having read good reviews here on Trip Advisor. The only redeeming feature of my visit was the stunningly views of the ocean peeking through the trees as I ate. The waitstaff seemed bored more than anything else and were not helpful at all when I asked them for assistance in choosing a dish.... More

After a morning spent enjoying the exploration of the beautiful grounds of the botanical gardens, we were happy to find the restaurant here with it's spectacular view and yummy food. I ordered some Thai food dishes that were not the best versions I've had, but could tell the ingredients and preparation were top-notch. It just missed a little on the... More

The restaurant is located at the end of the spice garden trail. A perfect place to enjoy a drink and chill. We walked the garden and arrived at the restaurant around 6:30pm, close to sunset. The restaurant is on a deck built on the cliff facing the sea. View is amazing. The cuisine offered is Thai fusion. As we were... More

My partner and I went for dinner to Tree Monkey. We arrived at 6:30 and were seated on the deck close to the water. The view was amazing looking out towards the water and the sun was going down which made it more magical. We ordered 3 entrees to share. They were RM16.50 and were delicious. An example of one... We were recommended the Tree Monkey restaurant for lunch or dinner. We decided to go for a meal at sunset and weren't dissapointed. It's mostly outdoor with a big deck overlooking the sea. The local food was very good and very reasonable, particularly given the fantastic views. We loved it so much we've booked again. Cost for 3 starters, 2... More

I loved the ambience of Tree Monkey and we sat in a little hut-like part which had only one table so nice and private. Food was good BUT oh so hot there. We dripped with sweat in spite of a provided fan.
