We had a light lunch here after visiting the Spice Gardens. We ate some of the tapas and it was delicious. Service was good and the nutmeg soda was yummy! The only thing is that there were a lot of bugs as it was just after a storm and it is outside. Would recommend. It would be a great place... More

Took both my kids age 2 and 4 there. Had to walk all the way up with hubs and my boys. Its was drizzling and yet we were determined. Even carried the stroller up. Finally reached. The waiter looked at us and sais u have 1 hour to order and eat. No welcome and no hello. We ordered. They forced... More

This is to vent my frustration on this highly rated restaurant. Firstly, waited >10 mins for some1 to serve us. Then, we were served by a rude waiter who has no sense of PR skill Next, we ordered green curry. Food was not served. And was told that the kitchen has closed 30 mins later. Lastly, there were bugs swimming... More

We sat outdoor at the end of the fences, no fan provided but we can feel the natural breeze and fresh air as the restaurant is surrounded by trees. It is a restaurant that we can stay so close to the nature and having delicious thai food at the meantime. We shared claypot tomyum kai, fish cake, mango sticky rice... More

Thoroughly recommend this delightful restaurant in a magical setting. We sat ouside on a warm night...the atmosphere was romantic and the food matched the setting.....quite a steep walk from the road but we persuaded our taxi driver to drive up...there was much concern from him but we managed to help him on his way after a lot of reversing and... The mats were frankly dirty and greasy. Some dishes quite tasty; the beef ones tasted metallic and strange - they were taken away and more appeared but obviously from the same chunk of beef - maybe it was the marinade. All in all underwhelming which is a shame as the setting was delightful in the garden.

Hi, Sorry but i don't understand your problem with our mats. They are normally very clean and ready to be set up. Can you explained what is metalic and strange to the beef that you mentioned. Will be very please to hear from you personally for any short coming. Thank you. Regards Pattkhor More

Living in Penang, I took my parents on visit for dinner, I had already heard food was so so, and it was confirmed. While the setting is nice, food is localised for the Western palate and hardly spicy and was fairly bland (the restaurant attached to the spice garden: a nonsensical reality...). The cork fees is outrageously expensive (nearly as... More

Hello. Just for everybody information, we have a few hiccup with our corkage charge a few times before. Our company policy is very very clear. Every bottle of wine, any guest bought in the house, they will be charge Rm 30.00 per bottle disregard of how much are the value of that bottle. It can be Rm 30.00 or Rm... More

Went to the Tree Monkey with a business group of 32 participants. The location is phenomenal and the attentive service handled a larger group very fast. Excellent food and good cocktails. The Money Mojito is a must to try.

We recently visit this restaurant after our taxi driver told us about it. We decided to choose from the Thai tapas and Asian tapas, we had eight items from each and that was plenty for four of us. The food was very good and not overly priced. We arrived at 6pm and had fantastic views of a stunning sunset. They... More

Amazing setting, beautiful thai food with a tapas style menu that enables you to sample a bit of every piece of heaven... Only one downside... Mosquitoes... So wear a long sleeved shirt and trousers.
