We visited on a Friday night and found the owner Amy very friendly and attentive. We ordered the beef rendang stir fried green vegetables Kapitan chicken and finished off with fried icecream to share. The place is very comfortable.

Small, but homely restaurant and bar with a great owner/maitre'd who chatted to us on each visit. Food is varied from spicy to very plain, and with local to western options.

Good food, a bit touristy, but worth the trip. Nice decor, well made food. Right on the main strip, just south of the Parkroyal.

Very nice food, warm friendly family service. A little tiny and hot at times, despite the fans, because of the narrow pace.

Wow this place is lovely. Great ambience and the food is quite something. Beef rendang, garlic prawns, nasi goreng, all superb. Such a lovely style and homely compared to eating at the long beach each night. Owner was thoughtful and attentive.

We were in Penang for just a quick weekend trip and found this restaurant down the street from our hotel. We enjoyed it so much on the Saturday afternoon for lunch that we returned for dinner the same evening. We ordered a different set of dishes each time and thought all of them were fantastic - Thai chicken, beef rendang,... More

As a regular reader of TA reviews I got on the Laptop and renewed restaurants in BF. Staying at the Holiday Inn the LR is only a short distance away and well worth the short walk, nearer if your staying at the Ferringhi Tower. We used to frequent the restaurant run by Lena and her late husband which was actually... More

It was great to revisit this lovely little hideaway in Batu Ferringhi and enjoy the food and company of Ben and Amy once again. I have recently read reviews that were concerning as it seemed that all their good work in the past may have been slipping but I am pleased to say my concerns were falsely guided by reviews... More

A comfortable and charming cafe near to the holiday inn hotel. The food is excellent as well as the value. The beed rendang( a type of curry) is the best I have ever tried. The owners are friendly and warm. It also has an interesting selection of art that you can buy.
