Long Beach is a collection of street stalls surrounding the sitting area. It is located outside and offers many cuisines including Malaysian. In the area there are not so many restaurants offering Malay food so I thought it appropiate to add this 'restaurant' to the listings, although most would probably not class it as a conventional one!

Good food and cheap

This "food court" has several vendors serving a variety of ethnic foods. My wife and I ate hear multiple times during our 5 week stay in Batu Ferringhi. This is not for those that consider themselves foodies. But for good food at a cheap price you won't go wrong

Numerous hawker stalls serving a variety of food some delicious but a bit pot luck what you get. They are very good at service, clearing and wiping tables which is an asset. The food is very reasonably priced and a drinks service is also available. It is in the night market so an interesting experience of looking at stalls and... More

Was in penang for 3 nights. I was eating here every night (it opens from 6pm only). The good thing is that there are enough stalls here to keep you interested and the mostly local food offerings are decent especially for the price. I suppose not all stalls will be great. So you need to sample different stalls. The fried... More

Great place with a good selection of food at reasonable prices. Just returned after spending 3 weeks in Penang visiting the long beach cafe several times during the stay. Would recommend it to everyone who visits Penang Ferrenghi beach area.

This is almost a tourist version of what a hawker market is. And that was fantastic for us taking 3 small children and an elderly mother for their first experience on Asian street food. You pick a variety of dishes from the stalls (satay, roti, seafood, noodles, etc). The servers bring your dishes to you and you pay when the... More

Have visited this hawker food court for over 10 years, I trust the food and drink here and the quality is always good for the price paid. The satay stall, Japanese and drink guys are all the same faces I remember on my first ever visit. Make sure to tip the drink ladies they deserve it. I will return and... More

I lived in Penang for 10 years and we go here at least once a week for a cheap and easy meal close to our home. It can get very busy but with so many options for everyone it is a great place to go. I always order from the Indian stall at the back right hand corner and have... More

Open air food market with a number of stalls. Very varying quality of food, from great to bad (hint: don't eat the bake-off pizzas, don't drink the non-bottled juices from the dirty buckets). The hot food is pretty safe and pretty tasty.
