Long Beach is a collection of street stalls surrounding the sitting area. It is located outside and offers many cuisines including Malaysian. In the area there are not so many restaurants offering Malay food so I thought it appropiate to add this 'restaurant' to the listings, although most would probably not class it as a conventional one!

Nice food court!

We were staying at the Shangri La Golden Sands for a few nights so Long beach was a delight. They've plenty of highchairs and there's a huge variety of stalls. We really enjoyed the Murtabak, noodle dishes-soups and fried ones. There were a few dishes that were not so great and portions were small... read more

A Batu Ferringhi institution Long Beach continues to provide good clean cheap eats. Sizzling chicken and Thai Chicken curry particular favourites. The beer girls remain ever cheerful despite decreased sales due to astronomical price rises for Tiger Beer.

Absolutely brilliant. Cheap & cheerful seems to be the moto around here. Wait staff were very attentive and ordering food from any of the 20 odd food stalls was easy and efficient. Hard to recommend anything specific, but if you are on the beach stop by for a meal I can not imagine you will be disappointed. Fine dinning it... More

We ate here 7 out of the 10 nights we had in Batu Ferringgi. It was cheap, local and delicious. We tried the top two restaurants on Trip Advisor and this one beat both hands down… from the chicken satay to the roti canai to the spring rolls to the gyoza to the pizza to the fresh juices... it was... one of our favourite places to eat when we come to Penang. The choices of foods is excellent and it is always fresh. Prices are very affordable. As it is a Hawkers place the surrounds are not that exciting with the older tables and red plastic chairs but that just adds to the quaintness of the place. Recommend it for... More

We have been visiting this group of hawker food under one roof since 2006. Basically it's the same, but since the implementation of GST in Malaysia, the prices have risen dramatically and the portions have decreased. The drink prices have understandably gone up with GST ! Try the Satay, Char Kwai Teow & spring rolls (closed Wednesdays). This place is... More

If you are traveling around Malaysia you end up visiting hawkers stalls very often. This is one of them and it will not disappoint you.

Have been here quite a few times over the last 5/6 years as my daughter lived in Penang and i always asked her to take me there at least once. There is a vast selection of foods on offer and after eating there is the famous night market on the street just outside.
