Description: Long Beach is a collection of street stalls surrounding the sitting area. It is located outside and offers many cuisines including Malaysian. In the area there are not so many restaurants offering Malay food so I thought it appropiate to add this 'restaurant' to the listings, although most would probably not class it as a conventional one!

LONG BEACH CAFÉ – BATU FERRINGHI We “discovered” Long Beach late on a trip to Penang some years ago and were amazed at the variety, quality and particularly price of the food. The Spring Rolls were a hit then, and still are today. Some five years later we are back, at the other end of the tourist strip, and approximately... More

This is a lovely communal café, where you can pick your own choice of food, i.e. Malay, Indian, Chinese and Western. Its almost a massive pick and mix kitchen with a bar! The food is all freshly prepared, minimum cost and a great choice, we tried the Fried Oysters, Large Spring Rolls, Singapore style noodles, Noodle Soup, Chapattis, ....yummy, give... More

Do not be put off by the surroundings this is the place to eat if you are in Batu Ferringhi. Huge choice of food (try to avoid western food) all good and very cheap. We ate there 3 times and it was always busy.

Great selection of authentic (well nearly authentic) Hawker Stalls and local Penang favourites. Even saw some kids having pizza and chips which seemed to be a God send for the parents!! Would recommend to all tourists as the stall holders do cater for 'novice' tourists and can explain what each of their dishes are and suggest what to order. Overall... More

Easy tourist friendly introduction to Malaysian hawker foods. Wander the vendors, pick a table number, pick what you want and pay on delivery to table. Not as big selection as other places but best I visited in area. Drink service to the table, the tandoori stand was delicious. Bus stops out front and night market next door.

Cheap eats and plenty of variety. Our family found this a great place to stop for dinner while shopping the night markets. Try the spring rolls they are sensational.

Surprisingly, this is a clean, safe place to eat. It really doesn't look very impressive if you're not used to eating in this type of food court but we ate here lots. We all ate different food each time and all the food was tasty. Very cheap. You don't get much in the chicken noodle dishes but then you don't... More

Definitely try the Kway chary teow and South Indian restaurant next to it! Tasty and clean to eat. We dined here almost every night of the 7 days in Penang. Food is cheap, beer costs more but obviously cheaper than hotels
