Long Beach is a collection of street stalls surrounding the sitting area. It is located outside and offers many cuisines including Malaysian. In the area there are not so many restaurants offering Malay food so I thought it appropiate to add this 'restaurant' to the listings, although most would probably not class it as a conventional one!

More than what your stomach can handle!

There are so many stalls and they all offer such delicious food! The best was the fried popiah and sambal sotong! It gets very busy during dinner so be sure to get there early for a seat under the umbrella because it can get rather hot! The pancake (not the westernised ones) besides the prawn... read more

Had another great three weeks savouring the local delights, great place to visit, very cheap and very friendly happy staff! Will be back again next year!

Food here is not bad. Pretty authentic but the place is a little dirty but I guess that's to be expected. Had the Bak Kut Teh which was a little different from what I'm used to but still ok. The grilled stingray was good stuff. The oyster omelette was not bad but definitely not the best I've eaten. One of... More

Wah wah, wahhhh! You're in Malaysia, of course the place isn't going to roll out the red carpet and pull your chair out for you! Seriously... Lack of hygiene? Get over it! You're eating in a 'shed' what do you expect? Food is great and so cheap! We ate like kings and queens. Spring rolls are a MUST HAVE along... More

Food here to suit all tastes. The sizzle plates from the Chinese stall are simply the best. All staff are friendly & efficient even putting up with customers unhelpfully feeding the cats at the table . For a wide selection of cuisines at very reasonable prices you can't go past Long Beach.

A real mix of food and quality here. For overseas visitors this would be a great experience and a good intro to some of the local food of Malaysia but for locals this was just average, there is much better food in Penang but if you are staying in one of the hotels close by then is a convenient alternative... The food is above average but their stalls hygiene is definitely below average. The price range is better compare to other eateries at batu ferringi.

We are staying just down the road in Shangri La's Golden Sands resort and this place is a great find. Highlights so far have been the spring rolls, satay chicken and several sizzling platters. We have almost a week left and will probably eat here most evenings if we don't travel into Georgetown as there is so much delicious looking... More

We visited here 6 out of our 11 nights in batu ferrengi, absolutely loved it. There were plenty of options for all of us including our picky 10year old. Not one of us had a bad meal. We tried a bit of everything from Indian butter chicken , spring rolls, pizza satay sticks, kebabs, dumplings, Mee goreng Kuey touy wey.... More

We had local friends to took us to this place - it's a favourite of theirs. There is lots of variety in food - definitely something for everyone from Pizza and Pasta to Indian and Malaysian. It's a hawker place, so expect it to be noisy, crowded, tables to be a *little* unstable - but that's all part of the... More
