Description: Long Beach is a collection of street stalls surrounding the sitting area. It is located outside and offers many cuisines including Malaysian. In the area there are not so many restaurants offering Malay food so I thought it appropiate to add this 'restaurant' to the listings, although most would probably not class it as a conventional one!

Long Beach is a very clean and well run food market. The Satay from the man at the front is terrific and the man on the opposite side from the Satay makes terrific Char Kway Teow. You can even get Western food if you must but do yourself a favour and eat the fabulous Malaysian food.

All the food stalls are on the side with the seating in the middle. Grab yourself a table. Then walk along the stalls and choose what you want and tell them your table number and they will bring your dish. A drinks server will come and ask you what drinks you want. Lovely food there, all sorts of food, indian, malay, chinese, thai, italian. Freshly cooked... More

I tried 3 different items from 3 different stalls. Each one was really not all great. I am used to hawker stalls as I live in Singapore and travel in Malaysia. Would not recommend this place to anyone,

I first must agree with the other reviewers who said "MUST TRY!!" and "Fantastic". It is an amazing little place with little round tables and little red chairs in the middle of little food stalls manned by locals ready to prepare your dish to order to the delight of tons of people ready to eat their hearts out. Every type... More

Doesn't look or sound great but the quality of food is amazing. Tried beef, squid, prawns, satay beef & chicken and pancakes between us and it was all great - cheap and service with a smile. Great for families or those on a tight budget and cheapest beer in town.

You would be hard pressed not to find something that suits your taste. The food is prepared fresh and delivered to your table. Very clean and an excellent example of Penang street food at bargain price. A stroll through the night markets tops off the experience.

Having just came back from a two week visit, had to write a quick review. Food is lovely and super cheap. My recommends would be the chinese on the left hand side, 4 dishes costing 30 rig (£6). Clay pot dishe stall, satay stall and the wanton ho kee dry is fab, a large dish costing 5 rig (£1) can't... More

Long beach is pretty grubby to look at but it is great food very cheap. Staff are lovely. We go every night. You can try different food every time you go. Magic for the price. Don't let looks put you off. We did on our first visit to penang until our last night when we ventured in there. We fed... More

An easy place to select a cheap but good meal. I recommend the spring rolls. Prices make you realise we are ripped off in the UK!
