Great North Indian Food

For Lunch, we tried this place, Food was ok, not very tasty, and not very expensive. Good choice on vegetarian.

The restaurant offers good food. The pricing is also not very expensive and infant is quite reasonable. Overall a good place.

Located along the main road in Batu Ferringhi, this restaurant serves Northern Indian cuisine. With open air seating as well as an air-conditioned dining area, they serve an extensive menu with some inclusions of Chinese and Malaysian cuisine. Food is average and price on the high side. The ginger tea is however very good. Service is friendly.

We often ate here and always enjoyed the variety of Indian food. Each year a trip to The Jewel of the North was part of our trip. However a couple of years ago while eating with Malay friends, their son queried our bill. We were a group of eight so would not have noticed that we were charged for a steak... More

I was in this restaurant in 2011 and both food quality and selection were outstanding ... so I went there on my last trip but both went downhill ... and the prices went significantly up.

We have eaten at this Restaurant on a couple of occasions over the years with friends but have found it to be quite expensive and they charge ++ (17%) on top of the meal. We normally do not go to Restaurants that charge these taxes. The meals we have had have been ok but not fantastic but obviously lots of... More

Used to be a real quality North Indian restaurant but now has changed hands and has slipped. The long serving staff seemed to have gone as well.

We also went to the Jewel of The North where they have choice of either western or Malaysian or Asian food. The range is good and quality is excellent. The one thing I like is that you can see the kitchen so there is no shonky business. There is the open area or an air conditioned section if it is... More

We had food here last visit to Penang and enjoyed it, this time we sat down to order, and everything we wanted to eat was unavailable so we left. This restaurant was empty most nights we were in Batu Ferhingi, and I think this said it all.
