A Dining Experience for the Entire Family

The tone is set when you enter and are personally greeted. I'm amazed at how many people the managers know by name, and how much of family relationships they remember. It's common to be asked about a missing spouse. The food, all Asian and kosher, is quite good. Whether you want beef, chicken... read more

Chosen Island is a five towns staple, very good kosher chinese food (sit-down), served in huge portions. They have been around for many years, right now I think the oldest continuously operating Kosher restaurant in the five towns, which is saying a lot (the Orthodox can be a finicky crowd). My wife and I typically order an appetizer and a... More

Chosen is the ONLY place I order steak. They age their steaks, and it is always done to perfection. Everything in Chosen is always delicious, fresh, service is excellent, and once you are there a few times, they know your name, and treat you like family. Prices are very reasonable considering the quality of food, excellent décor and top service.... More

There is a reason why Cho Sen is always busy: great food, good portions, and a reasonable price. I'm not a gourmet. So all I know is that the food is delicious. There is a fixed price dinner of $25 which includes soup, choice of egg roll, etc., main course, and sorbet for desert. Great, and way too much to... More

For a family get-together, everyone ordered a prix fixe dinner at $24.95 each, and it was a very good value: soup, an appetizer, an entree, and dessert. With the weather bad and many people away for vacation, the restaurant was still nearly full, which says something about its popularity.

It has been a few years since we ate at Chosen for lunch. Lunch is a great time, its quiet, uncrowded, and you have weekday budget 'lunch specials' with the same service and ambiance that you would have at dinner. The lunch specials run about $14 & include soup & dessert. there is a nice choice of about a dozen... More

Overall good food. On the expensive side as are most Kosher Chinese restaurants. Usually crowded so go during off-peak hours, if possible to get a table quickly.

Once again, we visited Chosen Island & they did NOT disappoint. SERVICE a+ - You never have to ask for missing cutlery or to refill the water. FOOD - Everything fresh & nicely presented - our favorite is "The Dragon & Phoenix" PRICE - competitively priced for five town restaurants

Great, old fashioned service. Delicious food. We ordered way too much. We couldn't restrain ourselves. Well, we took half of the food home, untouched because the portions were very generous. Just like childhood...tea...Chinese noodles with sauce, even fortune cookies with sliced oranges.

This is the #1 five towns restaurant for my entire family. The service is A+, the food is always fresh & plentiful and the staff is always friendly & accommodating. What really makes this place rock is their consistency. The food & presentation the dishes are always perfect no matter the day of the week or the time of the day.... More
