Expensive but because they weren't busy they were happy to cater to simple requests. Would be a nice place for an evening meal. Right by a cute beach - you could easily take your own picnic seats /rugs and get some takeaway. Not sure about swimming in Botany Bay but manager insisted not polluted!

I went here for lunch on a Sunday. It's an Italian seafood restaurant with friendly Italian staff. There is a restaurant dining area at the back with water views and a cafe area at the front. The food was good, battered fish & scollops were cooked beautifully, generous serving size, good kids menu. I really enjoyed my desert which was... More

This charming restaurant on the edge of Botany Bay is a great place to have a leisurely lunch. The food is cooked to perfection, serves are large and well priced and the staff are friendly and attentive. The chocolate mousse is to die for and worth the calories. You can always swim it off at the beach right next to... More

Great seafood - ridiculously large portions ;-) fantastic view and brilliant, friendly staff - heard and read a bit of bad press - previous owners and chefs I understand - don't read into any old views - this place is very good! Well done Boatshed!

My friend and I visited the Boatshed Cafe on a weekday at lunchtime. We picked it for it's view, and we ordered two coffees and a bowl of chips. To the cafe's credit, the serving of chips was massive, and we were glad that the waiter urged us away from ordering two. However, after about 40 minutes, we were told... More

We have been going here for years, through many managers, and the food has never been better. I have a severe food allergy and the kitchen has always accommodated me and never contaminated me. The view here is stunning and we are continually surprised it is not packed, though happy for us it isn't. One of the best places in... More

Having just been to The Boatshed for the first time, my experience was a delightful pleasure. The staff were friendly, courteous, polite and attentive. We (3 people) had different seafood dishes and ALL were fantastic!! I am a seafood lover and the salmon main course was the best I have ever tasted (I have had a lot). Prices are very... More

Others have summed the restaurant up well. The location on Botany Bay is second to none; plane spotters will love it too. It's a Greek family restaurant and the service is personal and friendly. The cooking is not fancy but the seafood is fresh and simply cooked. There is an adequate wine list for this type of fish caf. The... More

I took my mother for a late Saturday lunch. Staff extremely helpful and we were given a table on the deck looking at the beach. The waiter suggested flathead and chips to share with a greek salad. Arrived in less than 10 minutes. The flathead fresh as if just caught and cooked to perfection. The batter was light and tasty.... More
