This was the pick of The lonely planet guide and I am not agree with it. We ate under a palapa hut (= a plastic tent) seating on dusty tatami mats and pills, in the backyard of a fisherman's home. The owner likes to talk with giests but it was just an useless bla bla bla... Dinner is expensive considering... More

The experience is what you'll remember. The loungy outdoor set-up with soft music and limited company (only 18 total guests per night) is a positive. A local fisherman and his nephew prepare dinner (fish cooked inside banana leaves, salads, rice, farofa and caipirinhas) for 15 people, all sitting at the same big table in the garden. Great opportunity to meet other tourists on the island and to hear some local stories under a very chilled and friendly atmosphere.
