The restaurant in the hotel in the main square in Izamal only serves breakfast so the hall porter advised us to go to Muul for lunch. We had a pleasant inexpensive meal of Sopa de lima and Poc Chuc. Freshly prepared and friendly service. Clean and good little restaurant.

This was one of our most enjoyable dinning experiences in our time in Mexico. The food was simple but done really well and the service was super friendly and efficient. Highly recommend to anyone staying in Izamal

Nice, simple restaurant on the plaza behind the convent center. Great service, traditional dishes. We thought the food was a bit flavorless. Price-quality was ok.

Everyone was satisfied with their food and the variety of selections. The waiter was attentive. It was a great place to cool off from the heat and enjoy good local cuisine at an affordable price. It appeared that locals frequented there too.

The outdoor seating on the plaza was nice, but noisy. The food was well prepared and better than average. The service was prompt and friendly. The mostly Maya dishes were an interesting change of pace. Go late in the afternoon or in the morning when the plaza is not as hot.

Lets get one thing straight. Izamal does not have a lot of restaurants to choose from. We found this place on the edge of the town square, and it had lots of happy laughing people sitting outside enjoying the atmosphere. I couldn't resist the chance to join in, so we decided to dine here. The waiter was awesome, lots of... More

The restaurant was lacking in atmosphere, the food was poor; we had beef which was extremely tough and the meal as a whole was poorly presented.

I like this restaurant because I like the service, the food and eating on the square in view of the Convent. However, I was there during lunch in April and the flies were horrible. Perhaps it was the horse and carriage drivers which drove over in front of us. The person I was with couldn't finish her food. My husband... More

We have been there in March 2012 and passed a nice afternoon there. Excellent food, good prices - 250 pesos for 2 persons - nice location, clean bathroom and a nice owner who gave us a lot of hints how we can explore the village. All in all the best restaurant in our journey to Yucatan.

If you're staying in Izamal for more than one night the dining options are pretty limited. We found this little restaurant off the main square as we were walking around and decided to give it a try.The owner was very friendly and the food good and reasonably priced. We sat at one of the two or three tables on the... More
