Hola Kinich! We had a wonderful dinner here. I believe it was the second night we were in Izamal. The setting is very beautiful, relaxing, lush and romantic. We took a horse ride carriage after. Picked up some Izamal Tequila and had a wonderful rest of the evening. We will be back :D Everything... read more

Great Meal, very authentic Yucatan cuisine. Delicious food, great service. Everything is good in this place, and they have two ladies making fresh corn tortillas besides the dining room. Totally recommend

I'm a tour guide for Mexico city, my expertise is on lifestyle (so I believe I know what I'm talking about). The environment is fresh and cozy, considering the overwhelming heat of this town that is like an oasis in the middle of the desser, also there is a nice palapa where a lady is making hand made tortillas. I... More

it is a shame that this restaurant has such a bad attitude personal, I have to be fair not all of them, but there was a waiter the was very slow , I mean, he didn't understand even when I was speaking perfect Spanish to him, he forgot some orders of our table, and the end was the worst, he... Delicious food, great decor and not expensive. We were recommended to go to this place and at first glance it looked super expensive. We were pleasantly surprised. The Chaya empanadas stuffed with cheese were delicious as was the lime soup. Flan to finish, all washed down with a jug of Jamaica .... A geat lunch and refuge from the midday... More

Our party of 4 drove to Izamal specifically to eat at Kinich, as we had been there 2 years before. The restaurant itself is tastefully decorated and the servers are all in traditional Yucatan dress. We had soup and appetizers and all were delicious. The service was good we were not rushed and the washrooms were clean and tidy. We... More

Having eaten at a couple different options in Izamal, this is by far the best. I seriously question the validity of positive reviews for a competing restaurant we ate at first. This restaurant is in a class of its own compared to the others. Friendly staff, beautiful setting, delicious regional food. Highly recommended!

The review for this restaurant is very simple: it is a tourist trap completely overrated. The food is one of the worst i had in Yucatan (don't order the "relleno nėgro"!). The waiters don't even try to be nice. Nobody really care as many of the tourists come through all included Tours here. Run to the smaller and more authentic... More

We stopped by Kinich while we were exploring Izamal. We didn't want a big meal, so we tried a few things off the menu. We had some Chaya and cheese empanadas and some Valledolid style sausage, both dishes were very good. The restaurant was a really nice place to relax on the beautiful day in the Yucatan. If I ever... Completely off the charts bad. Just a tourist joint with a beautiful Yucatan atmosphere. The food was as poorly prepared as any meal I've had in Mexico. It could have been exacerbated by a tourist bus that had just dumped off about 40 cruise ship fatties (Carnival I think) on a port-of-call trip to see authentic Mayan ruins and eat... More
