Previously known as Pelicano, we were very happy to find la Guaya. Friendly owners, good service, nice location and, by far, the best home made fettucini In Holbox and one of the best I have eaten so far. Reasonable price. A must go while you are in Holbox ! Enjoy

This was one of the smartest places to eat apart from our hotel. The waiters were attentive and quick with the drinks service. Our fish was well cooked and the bill was not too large. Good easy choice.

The setting is better than most of the other restaurants in town but that's about it. Caprese with tomato, basil and...sprinkles of dried oregano (and lots of it)? The pasta was overcooked and underseasoned and the staff were, although friendly and trying hard, disoriented. We made it trough dinner without making faces but will definitely not go there again.

We went here at the recommendations of friends and it was absolutely delicious. My standards are high as I lived in Italy for several years. Had homemade ravioli and fresh fish - the hostess was also lovely.

We loved the food, very fresh and clean. I had a tomato-mozzarella salad and my husband some delicious shrimp with an exotic sauce. Deserts were also great and unique, as well as the selection of infusions. The chef is great. Nice place too.

What a brilliant restaurant to have on the Island. We took some friends with us who said it was the best food they had on Island during their stay….. Chef Luca is really very talented !

We ate at three of the most highly-rated restaurants on Holbox during our four-day stay (El Chapulim, La Mandarina and La Guaya), and La Guaya was our second favorite, after La Mandarina, but well-ahead of El Chapulim. Their specialty is fresh, hand-made pasta and, while (for me) a little bit of pasta goes a long way, La Guaya's seemed a... More

We were in Holbox for a week and ate here three times! Lucca and his wife were so lovely and welcoming and the handmade pasta and ravioli dishes were outstanding. The risotto was also amazing. The location of the restaurant was cleverly designed to transport you out of Mexico and into a small Italian town. Make this a top choice... More
