Freshest Tortillas Ever!

Great bar and restaurant! My husband and I both highly recommend the fajitas. I have vegetable and he had steak and we both agree, the tortillas made the whole meal. They literally make them by hand, one at a time over a fire, seriously amazingly delicious. The mojitos I had were perfect too! If... read more

We had guacamole to start and it was enough to feed 4 people. Flank steak nachos were also really good oozing with cheese on the top. We also had a free house specialty which was like a ratatouille. Best of all was the mixed meat and seafood platter which was amazing. Fresh fish, chicken and steak. With the local fish... More

The food & drinks were good - grilled seafood & steak, mojitos, Freda de colada. The bad were the swarming flies & mosquitos (particularly bad in the back). We had no problems with the food, but the open air fish gutting with hundreds of flies might put you off!

This is a big restaurant and seems to be very full in front. Ask to sit in the back, under the large palapa by the garden. Service was very attentive and friendly. We had Camarones a la Diabla and pasta with tomato, basil and garlic. Both dishes were stellar. The Chipotle sauce on the shrimp is spicy, but not too... More

Three out of four nights we went to Viva Zapata to have dinner. We thoroughly enjoyed the freshly cooked, delicious meals - mostly fish, vegetables and salad. Great place to be!

Although very busy, the staff took great care of us when we did not have a reservation and had to wait by the bar drinking marvellous mojitos while waiting for a table. Portions were huge and delicious, you can't leave this place hungry! Will be going back! Ask for a T-shirt they sell there, it makes a wonderful keepsake.

The food was good, I wouldn't call it outstanding. Service was very good, despite the fact that it was pouring with rain. The server had to use an umbrellla to bring the food from the kitchen to our table under the protected area.

My husband and I were here 2 times during our trip to Holbox because the food was so fantastic! The owner has a real with this authentic, coastal Mexican restaurant. The charcoal grilled catch of the day is sensational! All the sides were also local, fresh and prepared to order. Our cocktails were fantastic as well. The service was outstanding,... More

You are warmly received in this restaurant and well attended to. The seafood is super fresh and very tasty. Although not on the menu, you can order your shrimp (camarones) grilled (a la plancha). The prices are good for the island and everything is fresh. My only complaint is their Margarita is weak in Tequila. Otherwise, a great spot. They... More
