Really lovely place to eat. Very generous portions! Great service, really impressed. Great homemade nachos at the beginning (for free). Fresh food. Lovely atmosphere, good drinks. Would really recommend!

Can't speak to the food, but the bar at this restaurant is a fun/mellow place to knock back a few, drinks are tasty, bartenders friendly. Watch street life go by while enjoying a margarita on one of the swings.

We went to viva zapata, which was a good experience. We had a nice table in the garden with a view on the kitchen and grill. Especially the mixed grill with meat and fish was enjoyable. The fish was very fresh, as the owner takes is himself from the sea every day.

Tried the mixed grill was terrible and over priced. My wife tried the Chipotle Shrimp tasted like ketchup on shrimp. Uneatable food and loosely margaritas. Avoid

It was our favorite restaurant on the island (and we're foodies from San Francisco)! Loved the shrimp Zapata, the chorizo, queso dip, pinada, and the homemade corn tortillas. Great service and they take credit cards!

What more could you ask for! The food was great, the portions were large and the price was more then reasonable. All the waiters were super friendly, though the bar order could be slow at times. To start we had the guacamole and queso with chorizo, both were excellent and filled us up but we had main courses coming as... More

When we found out our 1st choice was no longer in business, the hotel staff suggested Viva Zapata. It was a great choice. The Seafood platter was more than satisfying. All fresh ingredients grilled to perfection. A small corking fee for our own bottle of wine. Service was a bit slow and could be a bit more efficient. Overall, a... More

It was very buggy and the seafood was over-cooked. Very disappointing. The menu was very standard. There are better choices when visiting Holbox Isla.

The langosta ceviche was great. The services is AAA, and the prices are very reasonable. We went twice to this place, waiters would be very nice.
