Sophisticated flavors

Try the sopa Azteca for its rich complex flavors and bits of creamy cheese, and the grilled shrimp. Only complaint was that the shrimp seemed a little salty but they were very fresh and not overcooked.

I guess we caught the waiter and the cook at their lowest performance. The waiter made us wait 15 min to bring the menu, even though only 4 other visitors were there. He waited us as if we were into a bistro. At the end, he just took my glass away without asking, although there was a bit of juice... More

Lovely small home-hotel with mystic fairytale-like feeling. I was spending an evening here and the hotel felt so inviting and cosy. My Mexican friend always takes this hotel as it is in the village and on beach same time. I was told that the family keeps this hotel small -- only 10 rooms or so, no restaurant, but don't worry... This is a beautiful setting. Tables right on the white sand beach. Everything we ordered was very good. I found it just a tad but pricey, but not ridiculous. Service could have been a little better.

We stayed at the hotel next door and almost missed trying this restaurant! GREAT food and particularly liked the cevichi, which is a fresh fish dish "cooked" in lime juice. Don't miss it, very charming spot on the beach with beautiful atmosphere.

This is one of my favorite spots to stop in for a drink, lunch or dinner. Located on the beach the place is serene and the quality of food fresh and great value.

They set custom made chairs and tables under the palm trees on the beach. The drinks and food were good. Try the shrimp pasta in cream sauce.

Stayed at Mawimbi for a week, already booked to go back next year. Food was always fresh, good expresso, fresh seafood, fruit, omletes, nice crowd. Located in excellent location.

Loved this beach club and restaurant. Went almost every day we were there. We weren't staying there at the hotel, or on the beach, so we rented chairs, had great breakfasts and lunch.

The hotel Mawimbi is located on a fantastic beach on Holbox Island. The restaurant is right on the white sand with Palm trees for shadow. Wooden tables and chairs, very comfortable! We had Lobster Tacos-ver very good, Shrimp Ceviche which was the best we had, Crab Claws that came with tools to open further-mmmm soo good! The staff was very... More
