Best food on the island

LOVED the fish with champagne sauce and my hubby LOVED the argentine chorizo. Everything was super flavorful and our server (young gal from Puebla who spoke perfect English) was amazing - gave us a lot of tips about the island. Not sure why this isn't ranked higher or isn't as busy as the other... read more

My daughter and I had dinner at this restaurant at Hotbox island on our first night as this restaurant has the #1 review of Hotbox. I was very disappointed with the food and the price. The food is nothing to be excited about and overpriced. The pasta that my daughter had was undercooked and was charged over 300 pesos. My... More

Not sure why this isn't ranked higher or isn't as busy as the other places since the food rocked!

Such a great place.. with a beautiful terrace and swings at the bare overlooking the central square. The food was amazing and the drinks as well. Favorite is koriander mojito :)) Great people - staff and owner. Can absolutely recommend the place!!

We ate here our last evening on the island. The location is nice; it's fun to watch the hustle and bustle of activity on the square. The food was good Italian fare and it was nice to have a good glass of wine with dinner. I don't know that I need to go here again, but it was a very... More

This was unquestionably the best restaurant in Holbox, run by a Mexican/Italian couple. Pastas and Italian fare that rivalled any big city restaurante Italiano. I took my family there on Tuesday for my Mom's birthday and was disappointed to find that Los Pelones( The Bald Ones) had grown their hair back and moved to Solferino. The food is OK but... More

Good good good restaurant! All the plates ( fishes, pastas...) were cooked very well. The place is very nice and the owner is a beautiful person, so kindly! We didn't spent much ( only about 400 pesos) and the food was abundant and excellent!! Perfect interpretation of the italian cousine made by italian people!!

This is our second visit to Holbox and the food is even better this time. The pasta at Los Pelones is homemade and very fresh. I had the tagliatelle with pesto and prawns and my husband had the mushroom ravioli with the gorgonzola sauce! Both were very flavorful and comparable to the fresh Italian you can get here in St... One of the best dinners we had in Holbox. Fabulous homemade pasta, great service, delicious dessert. Highly recommended.
