Good traditional food

The place is always packed but it is also very big. Food is traditional, not as good as some years ago. Tortillas are hand made and really good. Arrive early.

Nothing as I expected from Mexican food. We ordered a good chees with mushrooms, with great tortillas. However, main dish was awful. "Carne asada" (beef steak) was dry and cold. My tortilla soup (their specialty) was tomato soup with avocado, chicharron (that was soaked on it!) and long time tortilla on the soup. Not recommended. Worse? Banking options: just cash.

The real deal! You wanna try authentic mexican food without spending a lot, here is the spot. You can either go for breakfast before you climb the Tepozteco or a big meal after you come down! Food is authentic, delicious and not that expensive. The decoration is fun and the wait staff very friendly. Anything you order is delicious!

To begin with, the place and the decor are very colorful, which feels very fun and Mexican. There is an area of the kitchen/buffet-like area where some of the food rests before serving, and that also nice to look at. Vegetarians have a bunch of options to eat. Service was pretty bad. I'm not sure I would return, but I... More

The atmosphere and decor are bright and traditionally Mexican, and there is plenty of seating. The food was good overall. I ordered the huauzontle in pasilla sauce and my husband the arrachera, which was particularly good. The lentil soup had very little flavor, though. Service was okay- a little slow at times despite their many servers.

I stopped in for just guacamole, a drink and dessert, so obviously I didn't much sample the menu. It was OK - nothing special in either food or service.

The atmosphere is very friendly, the place is warm of course. There are plenty of testimonies over the walls from famous people who have attended and enjoyed the place

Maybe our mistake was dining here on a Monday night since they were out of many items and seemed to want to rush us out the door in order to close early. Didn't order anything that I would go back for. Despite several great reviews, Los Colorines disappoints.
