Tried the early bird this morning, highly rated as the number 1 local breakfast place. Interesting decor, it is attached to a (no tell motel) but don't let that scare you. When we arrived they had already been open an hour, my wife and I were the 2nd and third people in the place our coffee arrived immediately and it... More

Typical diner - good food, large portions, nothing fancy. All day breakfast is served as well as sandwiches, soup and quiche for lunches. Plastic fruit hanging as decorations (ugh), and the place seems to be just clean enough to pass inspection. Always busy when I drive by, so they are doing something right.

The breakfast and lunch selection at the Early bird is great and you certainly can't beat the quality for the price. It is usually very crowded on weekends so if you go be prepared to wait for a table.

Food was good but expensive for what you get and unless you close your eyes on your way into the restaurant you might consider not entering at all! Better breakfast places in thorold

Well we keep coming back each week. Sad to say we have tried a few other place including "Niagara best breakfast " ha want a joke. Why is early bird not known as Niagara best breakfast in Niagara. Servers are very friendly and happy to help with allergies. Very quick. Always making sure you have coffee. Prices are so inexpensive... More

Good place to go for breakfast if you are in Thorold or South St Catharines. I have been here several times and will continue to go when I'm in town.

I just returned form a weeks vacation visiting relatives in Thorold Ontario. My family took me to The Early Bird the first day I was there and then for 4 more through out the time I was there! At first sight I was not sure whether it was a place I actually wanted to step in to due to the... More

My boyfriend and I go for brunch pretty often. We're aware of how old and scuzzy the place appears. But the foooood. When you're too lazy to cook, you're on the verge of being hangry, and don't have money to burn this is an easy pick. Plus I think it's undergoing new management? I noticed new hours. Last time, I... This is an easy to find place! It's typically busy with university students, especially on weekends. The free WiFi makes up for slow service when the Brock students take over :-) My last visit was a business lunch and it was good! I had a terrific breast of chicken sandwich on a multigrain bread. It was served with a pickle... More
