good chippie

Probably the best chippie in the area. I have always found it to be clean fairly fast service and reasonable price for a resort area.

The food is decent although quite often they have run out of things. I always feel a bit like I am a pain and taking up their time when I visit rather than thank you for your custom. The chips are pretty awesome and it's a decent bit of fish. Negatives are price and staff but positive is food so... More

I don't know what unfortunate set of circumstances led to the previous review asking if this was the worst chip shop in Wales. Admittedly my son and I only visited once, but that visit can safely be defined as the finest battered cod I have yet had. We arrived just after lunch time (and apparently before the rush) and ordered... More

Tasty fish, light batter and cracking chips, pleasant staff - and all at a reasonable price - whats not to like?!

Hmmm...where to start: When we arrived they had run out of pies, the fish looked fossilized and the service was slow. The only thing they had that looked safe was the fried chicken...I don't like chicken, much, but this has to the worst fried chicken ever...the chips were bland and stale, too. They even gave us extra bits of chicken... More

We found this Fish & Chip Shop down a side street and thought w would give it a try. The batter was light and crisp with lovely tasty fish and excellent chips - it was definitely the best I've had for years.

Sitting next to a harbour (not being plagued by flocks of seagulls) is a perfect conclusion to a day by the coast in a seaside town. Having decent takeaway fish and chips to enjoy further adds to the experience. Skinless (hooray) fish served in crisp batter with chunky chips. Cardboard containers that kept the batter crisp during the short walk... More

Popped in mid afternoon with the family after doing an outdoor activity nearby. Worth hunting out and only a few mins walk off the main High St! Grabbed a superb Fish n Chip supper which was superb and fantastic batter on the cod. It's a short stroll to the quayside where you can enjoy them and watch the world go... More

Couldn't find anything open on a Saturday evening in Porthmadog. Found this chip pie on a back road. Just a bag of chips each but plenty of them !
