Been coming to Porthmadog for years and have been to a number of other chippies in the town but always end up returning to allports. Fish is cooked to order so always nice and fresh, lots of staff on so even though it was busy I got served quickly. Friendly staff and very reasonable prices. Portion sizes aren't massive but... Husband and I both had fish and chips from here. The fish is cooked to order, which means I had to wait five or six minutes for it to cook, but it was no problem as it was nice and fresh. The fish particularly was really yummy and the chips were good too. We also ordered a sausage for the... More

Driving through Portmadog after a trip to Portmeirion we stopped off for a bite to eat on the way back to our hotel. We always look for eateries off the beaten track as these are usually better. The haddock and chips we had were very nice and a decent sized piece of fish. Very friendly staff.

Came to Porthmaddog for our obligatory holiday fish and chips upon good reviews from others and were not disappointed by the food. It's not the most obvious place to go to given it's set back from the harbour area but it's worth it. Good price on meal deal. There was a steady queue so food was fresh. Staff were clearly... More

I am more into fish than chips, but in this chippy shop chips were surprisingly tasty. It was a busy time, but waiting went quicker than expected. Good they had bothered to decorate their entrance with so many summer flowers. Nice!

I used to visit Porthmadog regularly in the 1970s and 80s and often had F&C from the chippy at the bottom of Snowdon Street. Returning recently, and fancying F&C for lunch on a beautiful day I remembered this shop and wondered if it was still there. Great pleasure to discover it was - and that the food was as good... More

Tasty crispy chunky and golden chips. A quick pit stop as some of the children couldnt decide what to have for dinner. Well worth the walk off the high street. Very tasty. The smell of hot chips with salt and vinegar is heaven
