Super chippy

As far as chippies go, this one is up there with the best. You won't be disappointed with the quality of food or the portion sizes. Always busy and always good.

We chanced on this gem, and ordered lunch to eat at the beach. Best fish and chips ever! Not too much batter, fish was tasty, tender and moist, chips still crispy after a ten minute drive to the seaside.

There's a small town by the name of Porthmadog in North Wales. That's where I spent my early years. It's a delightful seaside resort which is also close to the mountains and boasts a terminus for three narrow gauge railways. I return to my old haunts annually, staying for about six weeks each time. In an obscure part of town... More

Got to be some of the best fish and chips I have had, fresh cooked in a light batter that was absolutely yummy. Nice friendly staff and a 5 hygiene rating, what more could you want!

Decided to get fish & chips from the award winning All Ports in Porthmadoc today, what a mistake!!! Had good food from here before, but today was the worst fish & chips I have ever had. The chips mostly had black bit in the potatoes, had a job to find the fish inside the large batter. Ended up throwing most... More

Went here a few weeks ago and the memory sticks out as a terrible one. Entered the take away and waited five minutes before I was approached by a member of staff. I was then told that they didn't have any milk for the tea I'd ordered, but the server then suggested 'You could go and buy some from Spar.... More

We went to this unassuming little takeaway chippy after it was recently listed as one of the top ten fish & chip shops in North Wales in a local newspaper. We weren't disappointed. The staff were polite and service good. The chips are double cooked to perfection. Crispy on the outside, light and fluffy on the inside. Highly recommended!

I have recently been to Allport's fish and chip shop. The food is amazing and the service is like masterchef, all round a brilliant place and has the best food. John is a fantastic owner and I salute him.
