Not too prepossessing from the outside, but on a miserable wet Sunday in Porthmadog neither is anywhere else. This is the second time we have visited The Queens hotel. The first was on a Sunday, mid November, nothing else was open and this really was the only option for food. I remember walking in and think ohhh sh**, the sport blaring out of the TV in the bar and the décor does not leave you with high expectations.... More

A warm welcome was given when our family arrived to stay. We booked a family room and it was perfect in every way, clean, tidy and warm. They told us that they had entertainment on that evening in form of a disco provided by a local dj,it wasn't a problem at all we even went downstairs to dance with the locals..Great music!... More

Not very good food. And we ate in the morning (breakfast was ok) in one table...and for the night it was the same table cloth...(we recongnised it because of a coffe stain). They are not worried about hygiene...

Arrived just before 2pm ready for a late lunch with my fiancé and went to the bar to order a drink. I saw two menus one labelled as full menu and the other as lunch time offers. I picked up both and the bar maid said that they weren't serving food. I enquired as to why the sign outside said... More

First visit after a couple of years and so disappointing, used to be an excellent venue. Very cool reception and when mentioned no toilet paper in Ladies response was very indifferent, and the comment was ' if I put three in people steal them!! ' No hand towels either and checked Gents and exactly the same.
