Big rock is a warm inviting cafe with endless choice of deliciouse home cooked cakes as well as a great lunch time menu, a great family friendly cafe with plenty of toys to entertain young children

Lovely bread and tart bought for a takeaway to sit by the beach on a sunny January day. What a find need to back and eat in the cafe which looked and smelt great. Loads of choice, friendly staff

I've eaten or drank here several times a week since it opened. I've always appreciated the funky, eccentric style that the owner created and the food to match. The food is straightforward, relatively healthy fare but always made fresh on the premises. Their special thing is the range of breads that they make in their "underground bakery" - tasty and... Popped in for breakfast, had beanburger with fried egg bap, it was homemade burger and was huge and well worth the £4. Staff very friendly and atmosphere warm and welcoming. Large choice of cakes and sweets that we had to purchase on way out. Highly recommend, definitely worth a visit.

We chose a small breakfast with drink included but upgraded the drinks for an extra 30p from a filter coffee to a cappuccino and hot chocolate. The coffee was great but the hot chocolate was a bit watery. The breakfast was... More

Love this place either for a snack, lunch or a takeout! They are so creative and unique in the way they cook and produce their food. Everything on the menu is locally produced and very delicious! They also have very tasty cakes and sweets that you will not find anywhere else in the area. The staff are very friendly and... More

Great cafe, interesting bakes, lovely atmosphere, a gem. I go there regularly - a favourite and the baking is very creative and I look forward to seeing what the latest bread or baking is going to be. A very unassuming cafe with relaxed atmosphere. Warning - they take only cash
