This place is a real treasure, excellent food, great kids sandwich bags with lots of choice (even soya which I struggle to find for my 5 year old) and the coffee is delicious. The bread and cakes were amazing. Definitely worth a visit.

We called in for lunch on Saturday with our family. What a lovely place, great selection on tea's and coffee's and home made food. Try the scone's and wraps sis my advice.

My husband and I were recently looking for somewhere nice to have coffee and cake in Porthmadog and chanced upon the Big Rock Cafe. What a great find, lovely coffee and a fab selection of homemade cakes, a really original selection it was too! There were some great looking lunch options too, next time we're passing through we'll definitely be... More

Saturday in March at the seaside! This was a lovely find very rustic and homely, we had coffee and cakes, coffee a little hot. Home baked breads looked tempting. Hope they do well in this quiet town.

Stopped in for a drink late afternoon, greeted by friendly staff who talked us through all the breads on offer and gave us a good end of day deal on yummy bread to takeaway, stayed in for a coffee which was lovely, would definitely visit again and looked that Porthmadog had to offer!

Excellent food and friendly service. Would certainly recommend this for lunch. Very good wraps and hashed corned beef.

Spent many happy times sitting here drinking their lovely coffee and smoothies. Their breakfasts are great value, their bread is out of this world and their scone cake is amaziing. Graham and the staff are always so helpful and friendly. No other place to go in Porthmadog for morning coffe etc all the others fall far short.

What a great place to eat, lovely food and coffee. Have to try the croissants and melted hot dark chocolate. So much to choose from, wish I lived nearer to visit again!

Just sat on the sofa in the window of the Big Rock having finished a butternut squash, goats cheese and pickle with salad. The combination works really well and the nutty brown bread that came with it was spot on. Well done all round!
