busy seafood restaurant but buzzing atmosphere. I had a vegetarian option - not much to choose from but the quality was fabulous. i would recommend this place without a doubt.

We don't know the area and stopped by on the off chance, not really knowing what to expect. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, finding us a table even though we hadn't booked. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was amazing. I would recommend the goats cheese salad and the lemon sole. So tasty!

My wife and I had an excellent meal with some lovely wine that was not overpriced. The seafood stew I had was well worth the money. There was a tremendous choice of seafood along with other dishes for those not so keen on shellfish/fish.

This restaurant was recommended to us, by the B&B we were staying in, who also advised booking a table. We duly did as soon as it opened, for a couple of hours later. We are pleased we did as although it was quiet when we went in, it soon filled up & by the time we left all tables were... More

A stunning restaurant with absolutely mouth watering food. We visited Tarbert with family for my birthday & were not dissapointed with our experience in Starfish. A lovely menu of fresh dishes on offer & daily specials. We all enjoyed 3 courses & left having thoroughly enjoyed each & every dish. Staff very attentive & even made my very fussy daughter... More

Refugees from the Stonefield Castle Hotel along the road, since they'd decided to close for several days for a private wedding, we retired to the Starfish. It proved excellent in every respect: food, drinks, service, friendliness. We would certainly recommend this restaurant to anyone, and particularly those with a penchant for quality seafood. Try the fish stew!!

Probably the nicest crab and asparagus risotto I've ever had! The staff was attentive and charming without being intrusive. The menu featured really appealing starters, it would be nice to include a sampling option in the menu for the greedy yet undecided customers.

My gf and I went here because of the positive reviews on TripAdvisor . The decor was nice, the staff pleasant and the food was absolutely fantastic. All four dishes we ordered were out of this world. The only problem I had was lack of staff or poor planning. A number of different tables arrived at around the same time... More

A week later we are still talking and savouring the meal at the Starfish. It was faultless. Truly incredible to have such food accessible to us. Better still that the chef and make it even more delicious. Having arrived by sailing boat I can honestly say it would be worth battling through a storm to have a meal at this... More

I can't compliment this restaurant enough. The unique and special ambience was created by merriment from relaxed tables; beautiful local paintings displayed on the restaurant walls and the wonderful smells being created by the talented kitchen staff. I would highly recommend the stafish stew and homemade bread. We will definilty be coming back to Tarbert not only for the wonderful... More
