Nice price worthy cafe

A good, simple and nice cafe with a view over the harbour. A good menu for breakfast and lunch. We went back there three times during our stay.

We were cold and hungry motorbikers looking for early meal before we went on to our BnB 10miles from Tarbert. Couldn't fault the friendly service ( after trying a couple of places that didn't serve until 6pm) scallops prawns and chorizo sizzler were really tasty as was the fish and chips . We had to wait a while as they... More

We Stopped for a quick lunch, delightful friendly staff, extensive menus with a special daily menu. Opted for scallops for starters unfortunately they had not arrived, so went ahead and ordered the the main course. Then after about 5 mins in walks a young man carrying a parcel yes you guessed it scallops straight off the boat don't come fresher than... More

Was really looking forward to great fish and chips tonight on long drive home. Fish had thin, watery tasteless batter and chips were frozen so again no taste, staff nice but really disappointed in food, was edible and cooked enough but a waste of money, regular visitor to the area and will Not be back.

We were introduced to this cafe by the friends who's house we were staying in. We had lunch twice. The menu was basic but the food well cooked and served piping hot. The chicken and rice soup was delicious. Service was speedy but you're not hassled. The decor was nice and the tables clean. Loo facilities a bit basic but... More

We stopped here on route to the ferry terminal to grab some dinner. The weather was too bad to have take away fish & chips as we'd planned so we tried this place as it had a sit in option. The fish was fresh and the batter not overly greasy. The chip portion was massive for me but I'm not... More

You literally step-down into this establishment. On our visit it was well patronised by locals with but few visitors. The food and drinks were welcome, but we thought the standards were fairly common-place,

This is a good little restaurant. Unusual dishes, including veggie choices, served piping hot. Service friendly, no frills. Reasonable prices. Good food, good value. Note previous reviewer said it was used by locals, and certainly our impression while we were there. Does takeaways as well.

Cafe was spotlessly clean. Really small place but constant flow of customers. Nice food - nothing fancy - but does the job for lunch. Not much choice otherwise in Tarbert so would recommend eating here. Does paninis etc, which were all fresh.
