I had nearly walked past, thinking it was a greasy spoon/fish'n'chips place - so glad I didn't!

Ate breakfast here and had an ice cream later the same day. Breakfast was simple but good value at £5. All the ingredients were good quality and they did me fried bread instead of toast at my request. Ambience is definitely cafe with friendly locals enhancing the experience. Ice cream is home made vanilla and very good. It may be... More

Popped in for lunch. Second visit. So much choice on the menu. They do breakfast, lunch and dinner. Very friendly staff. Next time I'm in the area will pop in. Highly recommended.

Stopped here for a coffee and a snack, mid morning and the place was not busy. Had to wait ages to be served, and when I was the girl was surly and looked quite inconvenienced by my being there. I ordered my drinks and then asked for a muffin and a scone, all to take away. The muffin was dumped... More

Loved the way it was decorated, fishing theme, lot of thought and effort made it look inviting. The service was good and when lunch arrived portions were massive ,even for me a big eater. I had battered fish on ciabatta with tartare , chips nicely presented and salad with good coleslaw. Partner had steak pie with 'well risen ' pastry... More

We visit Islay every year, sometimes several times. It has become a tradition to come off the ferry at 5.30 and head straight for the Ca Dora. Never been disappointed. Portions are substantial and the staff friendly. Nicely situated with a view over the harbour to the main road in/out.
