Good service, comfy sofas with matching cusHions outside. Food was excellent we had the chicken baguette, not your average chicken baguette, and the delicious chorizo sausages. Really nicely presented, very good coffee. A really pleasant lunchtime

17 of us went today, age range 4 to 84. We all left feeling well fed and well looked after in line with the price paid. Was all the better to have met The Stig, well, one of them anyway.

Lovely night out, made all the better by Sam the maître d'jour who's warm bubbly personality made for a great dinning experience, oh and he also pours a great pint !

Visited 3 times in the afternoons and found the service to be appalling. No personality. Waited over ten minutes on one occasion and I was the only customer. Pretty place but sort it out!

Over rated, way over priced and the service is terrible , this is meant to be gastro, I think it's living of fame a bit and not quality . Oh by the way I'm a chef and this food was poor, sorry guys but I would try and keep it a bit more simple and a little less pricy for... More

Went there for an informal business lunch - just one course and coffee. Food was well cooked and reasonably presented but service was so slow that lunch took a full two hours! We ate in the restaurant, where there was only one other table occupied too. This place needs to get its service standards up if it is to compete... More

We were quests of a family member for his birthday. The food was well presented and tasty, but the service was slow, several times we had to go and look for someone to get us drinks. A side dish of fries was forgotten and arrived late JUST cooked. As we were guests I don't know the final bill, but from... More

The venue looks lovely from the outside, newly painted and with a decent outside space. The inside restaurant area again looks lovely. The pub boasts 2013 Surrey award so we hoped for a nice evening. We approached the bar, ordered some drinks and then asked for menus to take outside. We waited for a waitress for well over 20 minutes,... More

Went there last week with my wife. Served a glass of Prosecco. It was warm. Had it replaced but the second one wasn't much better. I wanted a nice ale but the choice was very limited and I was forced to drink a lager. Then our meal arrived. I ordered Sea Trout and my first impression was that the portion... More

The pub / restaurant has nice surroundings and it's very convenient to find ample parking in Shere, a beautiful but very car-choked village. We were a party of 19, having a variety of courses and drinks. The food all sounded nice on the menu (and had prices that led you to expect true gourmet fare!) but much of it was... More
