The quality of the meals can vary in this pub picturesque Inn on the banks of the river Wye, I have visited this Inn on at least two dozen occaisions over the past few years, having owned a caravan just a few miles away; we have had both excellent and not so good food, and it is very much dependant... Average pub food, with a MASSIVE menu - which makes you wander about the freshness. Portions were good and the bar lively.

Ordered A fillet of Sole with Salmon mousse, which was brought out with pasta in a white sauce. I am gluten intollerant so pasta and white sauce is a no no! I complained to the waitress who said that I could have the Salmon, which I agreed to, however she said that I'd have to pay for the initial meal!... More

Arrived late to our B&B and decided to give this place a shot since we were near and hungry! We did not get a table near the river Wye:(. We ordered drinks and food and being near the bar our drinks came promptly. The food took a long time... Once it came it was plentiful and tasty.

a group of us were canoeing from the week from Glasbury to Symonds Yat and decided to walk to this pub for some food from our campsite. The pub is nothing special but is a place that is very popular with canoeists at the weekend. The menu was basic and the food was hearty and just what was needed after... More

We were staying in Hay on Wye and were out looking for somewhere to eat. We saw the Boat Inn advertised on the main road and drove down a side road to find it. The car park was nearly full so we parked and went into the Lounge bar for a drink. There was a lovely view of the river... More
