Great food and Friendly staff. A visit here made the day complete. The children enjoyed themselves on the NEW PLAY EQUIPMENT so my wife and I could enjoy a drink. We had trouble getting the children off the climbing frame, they were enjoying so much. We can't wait to go back

I visited this pub/restaurant on fathers day along with other members of the family.I could not believe how extensive the menu was for such a small village pub/restaurant. I was astounded to find on their menu a dish I had not seen on any menu for the last 20 years, which was Bacon Pudding or bacon Roly Poly. Needless to say... More

We've recently moved to the Hastings area and a local friend recommended this pub as the best around for Sunday roast. Tried unsuccessfully a couple of times to make it there before their mid-afternoon break at 3pm. This time we booked. The place was busy with Fathers' day diners but our table was ready before time and we ordered drinks... More

We came here on the recommendation of a B&B host in Hastings, and had a very nice meal. We appreciated the quietness of the restaurant side of the pub, and the unusual decor (a ceiling covered with dried hops). Good local beer and cider.

Visited this pub for dinner over the bank holiday weekend. The food was amazing. We had the pork belly & the steak & stilton pie which were both lovely. The landlord & landlady were very welcoming & friendly. Well worth a visit.
