one very wecoming and extremely hard working young lady was the only front of house person in the restaurant -this inevitably caused long waits when the restaurant was full so that we did not bother to wait for a dessert.fish was nicely cooked and fresh but the veg were unimaginative and boringly cooked.sauce on my fish was "jammy " and... Enjoyed a nice evening with friends in this homely restaurant. Food was pretty good simple home-cooked style but the ambience is what drew as here

Enjoyed a delicious roast with all the trimmings. The sweet was a tasty blackberry and apple pie with custard. Service was prompt and friendly. Good value for money.

Nice surroundings and near to the beachfront so great after a walk. Varied menu and the food was excellent especially the seafood and fish.

Restaurant was fully booked the evening we decided to visit, but the staff managed to squeeze us in. The food was fantastic, even the vegetarian options for my vegan sister! Definitely a recommendation!

Very poor service , the food was not tasty, when we got our food it was the wrong order, the waitress didn't know the difference between a ribeye steak and sirloin steak. Greasy cold and tasteless prawns. Never go there again

This is a restaurant/bistro we have walked past countless times on our way to or from the beach, it always has nice aromas wafting out & we have often said we should try it sometime. Well, due to the lack of service at the Britannia Inn in Knowle, we found ourselves looking for somewhere to eat at 9pm on friday... More

The restaurant was very busy but the food was at best average. I had fresh mussels but they lacked flavour, no wine, no garlic and no cream. Very disappointing

I am baffled by this review as our mussels are cooked in garlic, white wine and cream and are very popular and receive many compliments , I am sorry your visit was dissapointing and regret we were Not made aware of this at the time and able to do something about it for you More

Its dissapointing that you did not enjoy our chowder/broth which has proved popular with other diners ,, had we been made aware of this at the time of your visit we could have dealt with it for you. Admittedly the restaurant is due for a repaint but I feel your comment about it being dirty and in need of a... More
