My wife and I popped over to budleigh for lunch today we had seen the slice of Lyme on many occasions and today we decided to take a chance and have lunch there today and what a great decision that was on entering a lovely young lady seated us where ever we wanted to sit and gave us a menu... We have visited this twice and each time had excellent meals. They always have something a little different - South African Cape food, Morocan food and of course more traditional English food including a range of locally caught fish and homemade burgers. The food is always freshly cooked and perfectly spiced. The prices are very reasonable. They obviously put a... More

My wife and I went for a meal on the Tuesday of the Easter holidays. The food was very nice and well presented. However sadly the service was VERY slow otherwise this would have been a 4 or 5 review. This was not a reflection on the very friendly and polite waitress serving but I assume because she was the... More

A small, friendly restaurant. A very good welcome from helpful staff. Prompt service and excellent wholesome food from an appetizing menu. We went there because our regular venue was closed on Easter Monday, but will now definitely want to visit it again.

Had lovely meal here. Steak cooked perfectly and tasted wonderful. Waitress very pleasant and helpful. She recommended peanut brownie cheesecake. A real winner!

Popped in for a late breakfast early lunch after a long walk. Very friendly and accommodating staff. I ordered a late breakfast bite, after the official breakfast time had finished, and it was no problem. That's nice and shows customer friendly flexibility. Just a stones throw from the beach and main road, nicely tucked away for a quiet break/pitstop. A... More

This was the first cafe we came to when we arrived in town and weren't we lucky? We had very tasty and competitiely priced coffee in charming and quaint surroundings.

This could be a great little place to eat, as the food wasn't too bad, I had the Sunday roast and the veg were all freshly cooked. They were even able to offer gluten free gravy. Most places we eat could not offer this.the gluten free choc cake was really nice. The one thing that let's them down is it... More

I am very unhappy with this review the knife i dropped was put into my apron pocket and returned to the kitchen to be washed, the bundle of clean knives were put into the drawer. I would not dream of putting it into the drawer with clean cuttlery. I wish that i had be made aware of the issue with... More

Tucked away in a side street to the beach we have walked past this unprepossessing little cafe many times. More fool us. Basic tables and chairs in two separate rooms we arrived just after midday to an almost empty scenario. Basic regular menu but a blackboard of specials with several more options all at reasonable prices. The food was exteremly... More
