Great position!

We had a very pleasant meal in a great position overlooking Txingudi Bay to Hendaye and the mountain range beyond. We shared a turbot which was delicious but the service and restaurant seemed a little tired, sadly.

We visited for lunch on a very windy, cold December Monday. Lourdes, she and her husband own the restaurant, was our server. She was really helpful and fun to talk to. I enjoyed absolutely delicious langoustinos - very fresh and simply grilled. My friend had empanadas which she declared to be the "best she'd ever had". I'd love to go... More

This restaurant had been suggested by friends. It is located on the shore and has indoor as well as outdoor seating. To avoid the cigarette smoke, we opted for inside. Our table was at the window and we enjoyed much of the view that would have been available outside. The service was friendly and attentive, the atmosphere was "comfortable" and... More

We ate here on a very quiet Wednesday lunchtime in February. Only one other table occupied but the waitress, who spoke really good English, was very friendly and helpful. We had the set menu which was great value and beautifully presented. The fish was cooked to perfection. With a table by the window looking across the bay it was a... More

On a rainy Tuesday evening in June, we wandered the streets of Hondarribia, trying to find a restaurant where we could have dinner with our two children (ages 7 and 10). After venturing into five different places, which were either too smoky or not yet serving dinner, we retreated to our hotel and consulted our guidebook, where we found a... More

Unpretentious but charming staff served us well prepared food. We messed around with the set menu (on a quiet and out of season evening) and they accomodated our tastes. Great water front location at reasonable prices.

We were walking along the waterfront in this magical city right on the frontier between France and Spain. It was raining lightly and we stopped to look at the posted menu. Some Basque schoolgirls came over to chat and told us that this restaurant was wonderful. We took their advice and went in. We were greeted with graciousness and seated... More
