Nice view, food medium

The restaurant is very well located, in front of the sea. The service was very good, the waitress very attentive. The food was not bad but far from exceptional; the squid with pineapple we had wasn't very fresh and that was a pitty in such a nice restaurant...

We happened to eat here twice in one week because the food was great and the sunset amazing!!! The first time I had the wreck fish caserol for 2, it was enough for 5 people so much food!!!! The next time my husband got a steak and I ha the pork both were wonderful!!! The tiramisu was also outstanding!!! And... More

I found this place through trip advisor and am glad I listened to the good reviews. When I was going I wasn't sure but once I went upstairs it was great. The staff was attentive and very nice to my children too. I had the shrimp with Garlic and the fish filet with mango. Both were great but way too... More

Very nice restaurant with good food. Only gave it 4 because my husband's pork tenderloin was very fatty and he couldn't eat most of it. My Juliana fish cooked in bacon and with gambas was excellent.

Our favourite resto in Azores. Wonderful view, chill out atomosphere. The weren't ready to have people on the terrace (end of March), but the staff arrange everything without problem. Nice experience. Food was very good, especially passion friut mousse.

We went here to celebrate a friends birthday and all four of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. What really stood out was the creativity in how they prepared and presented the dishes. Almost all the food in the Azores is delicious but most places serve the dishes the same exact way. Alabote really stands out with traditional ingredients and dishes... More

Great wreckfish puff pastry, great mussels, squid skewer was average flavor but cooked tender. Staff and service was excellent. One of the best meals of the trip so far.

We stopped for a late lunch at Alabote. The food was good, especially the fish stew and wreckfish puff pastry. However the service was poor. The waitress was rude, ignored us after seating us and service was extremely slow despite only 2 occupied tables in the whole restaurant. We had come because of previous tripadvisor reviews but this restaurant did... More

This was one of our first meals in the Azores. We had much better fish elsewhere, and preferred the bustling atmosphere of places where locals ate. The price was also somewhat higher than other restaurants. We ate bread and cheese and fish stew, which didn't have a ton of flavor. The service was fine, and the restaurant is in a... More

We stopped in on 12 Jan, 2015 for a late lunch/early dinner and we pleasantly surprised . The cuisine was superb and the service was the best on the island. The view is spectacular and we were not rushed. The owner even came out twice to greet us and ask if everything was fine. I highly recommend it and would... More
