The restaurant at Engo Gard is inspired by both french and nordic cousine with the use of local produce. Menus at Engo Gard are set by the chef in advance. Hence most of our guests place responsibility firmly in our hands when it comes to choosing food and wine. This requires a great commitment on our part as we must constantly focus our knowledge and ideas on providing the best possible combination of dishes and wines. The restaurant and hotel are open all year.

Fantastic weekend

Very good food and wine all weekend. Nice surroundings. Some of the staff a bit to young (unprofessional) but overall very very good. I'll be back.

Fantastic food and wine selection. Service is good, but not as a Michelin restaurant. Rather small space but good for a minor group.

We were looking forward to Afternoon-tea a nice summer day and were disappointed. The scones were dry and also two of the cakes. It may be said that we asked for ham sandwiches instead of salmon since one of us didn´t eat salmon, which was served without question. Staff we found very young and very unprofessional. Plates and knives were... More

I've visited this place several times, both in business and privately, and also stayed the night on occasions. This time we went for a "jazz-lunch", and on a rare, beautiful summer day with cool jazz from a superb trio, we got off to a great start. As for the food, well - the starter, a salmon tartar tasted absolutely nothing.... More

Went here for Sunday lunch and had a fantastic experience. Great attentive service and the food was fantastic. They use local ingredients and every aspect of the plate was prepared to perfection. Interesting flavor combinations combined with traditional french techniques. Will no doubt come back here for more.

At Engø you will find and experience one of the best restaurants in town. Service and food is outstanding. Fantastic flavours and fresh materials. In summertime you can come by boat and you can eat outside and enjoy the nature and view at the same time. It is a pity that its placed 1.5 hours drive from Oslo. Too far... More

Outstanding choise and 'combo' of elements in the set Menu, ( go for the full Monty). The suggestion of beverage suits fine, too. But to be honest, a look at the wine list should be mandatory, -surprisingly filled Wine Cellar, ( but used to be even better in earlier years? ) Speaking of drinks, - as expected of this kind... We´ve been to Engo Gard at several times over the last few years, both staying the night and eating at their restaurant. This time I was very disappointed with their service level, to that extent that I really won't be getting back anytime soon. Took my mother and grandmother for lunch on a weekday. I did intend to reserve a... More

We called for a reservation and got a table for four same day. Weather was excellent, and the outdoor environment was really relaxing. No problem arriving in a boat. We chose the 7 dish meny, - with an additional foie gras, - together with the wine meny. The whole meal was excellent, relaxing and vitalizing. Can absolutely be compared with... More
