Honest food

We had a great dinner here. Nothing fancy or sophisticated, but great tasting food. We had picked some wild asparagi on our way to Trevi, and brought them to the restaurant. The cook prepared us a terrific frittata with them as an antipasto. Followed by great pasta (ravioli with zucchini) and... read more

Nice location, in the lovely Trevi, with a two level entrance. Nice room with soft lights and nice décor; there is too the right space among the tables; so, the atmosphere is soft, the service is very kind and helpful. The food is very very good, whatever you choose. We came many times (March 31st was the last) and never... More

A request for decent cucina casareccia resulted in a recommendation by the guys in the tabaccheria and turned out to be a good one. A cold grey January morning, the town empty. Inside the restaurant, a warm, friendly welcome, comfortable and inviting. The menu including local speciality celery, although as the proprietor explained,a bit late in the season was too... More

I was lucky enough to be in Trevi during celery season, and the local specialties this restaurant cooked up were phenomenal and unlike anything I've ever had. My husband and I shared 2 bruschettas, one of which was topped with a divine pureed celery. For the first course we both enjoyed our dishes: a pasta dish with mushrooms and truffles,... More

Three generations just enjoyed an excellent meal with the absolute best of local produce (wonderful oil, pasta, truffles, grilled meats) accompanied by very pleasant wines in a good atmosphere. We will be back.

My wife and I were in Trevi on a Thursday and were looking hard for somewhere to have lunch. Fortunately, we found Maggiolini. We enjoyed a good meal: some bruschetta to share and generous plates of pasta (tagliatelle with mushrooms and truffles for me and ravioli with tomato and zucchini for Mrs G). The service was impeccable and the food... More

We just happened to stop off in Trevi looking for a restaurant. Stopping a local we asked and were directed to this place. The food was excellent, the manager very helpful and the ambiance welcoming. As an aside it was one of the best value for money meals that we had in Italy, well worth a visit.

I stayed in Trevi for two weeks with a group of friends, and in a town in which every restaurant was quite good, Maggiolini was the best, so that we ate there four times. The antipasto misto, cheeses, bruschetta, and cured meats, was excellent, as good as any I've had in years of traveling to Italy. It was, however, in... More

Good food, lovely ambience. Friendly waiter who helped us decipher the menu which was all in Italian - no English 'sub-titles'! Delicious food and good house red.
