The food just kept coming!

We ate here as a group of friends before a wedding. What a feast!! The starters just kept coming and they were all so tasty!! The wine was fantastic and amazing value. The setting was lovely tucked Aqua in a little cellar. We strongly recommend!

best steak of my life. Great atmosphere if you like eating in a cozy cave cellar (I do!). We can't wait to go back this summer! Order the bisteca florentina.

Amazing experience...the food was super fresh (a local farmer actually delivered the mushrooms as we got to the restaurant). We mostly trusted the owner with his recommendations and were not disappointed (warm and cold appetizer plate to share, T bone steak, mushroom pasta). Menus are only available in Italian, so bring a dictionary :)

Here we got a 5 dish menu. This was very good. I even liked the Tuscan pig. But the waiter was a problem. He was constantly chatting the couple next table. So we had a constant view of this waiter's back. The female waiter was also unpolite, mumbling the contains of the dishes so fast, we had no chance to... More

We used to frequent this place years ago during visits to Toscana, but hadn't been in perhaps 5 years or so, making this visit a "hope it hasn't changed" kind of moment. No surprises - in a good way as the food is still great, with the boss watching over your fiorentina steak like it was his baby as it... More

We were a big group (15), so some confusion about meny and amount of food. Lack of English as quite usual in Tuscany. Some of us speak french, spanish and a some words of italian, but the special meny with prices pr. kilo confused us. Quality of food and drink was excellent. Morisfarms wines ( especially Vermentino) are our favourite... More

Just a nice meal - but nothing special. The food was perfectly OK, the wine adequate, the service reasonable. There aren't any views and the decor though perfectly nice just didn't thrill.

Great food. Great presentation. Great service and friendly staff. What more can I say? Delicious home pade pasta...ask for any dish with truffles...unforgettable and the best meal we had during our entire holiday in Europe. Ask your hotel to book this place as it is the best in Italy! Order mixed starter plate followed by pasta and veal with truffles...mouth... More

This restaurant is mentioned in "The Food Lover's Companion to Tuscany" published in 1998 and we were so delighted to find that it is still in Massa Marittima and their salumi, soups and grilled meats are still memorable. It is a beautiful old stone room(s) with an open wood fireplace where our wild boar was roasted. There were four of... More
