A number of us did the tasting menu, and it didn't seem like the chef picked the dishes he was most proud of for the tasting menu. It was a good value. The wine, for example, wasn't as good as the wine selected by the members of our group who were ordering a la carte. It was good food, and... More

This restaurant is located right next to the Brolio Castle, in a wooded section... very nice. The food, wine and service were excellent. I had the 4 course "seasonal" menu and every dish was delicious.

We had lunch here after our visit to the castle. It is situated in a very shady location under huge pine tree (very good on a hot day!) There was a standard menu and a number of specials which offered plenty of choice - we both had pasta; pici with ragu - very tasty and another pasta which i can't... More

Following an interesting tour of the castle and historic Ricasoli Collection our group walked up the hill to the glass enclosed restaurant set among the trees. Lunch was a menu chosen in advance, and the quality was excellent. However the staff all looked like they had been tasered. A bit zombie like, and clearly under pressure. No chit chat and... More

One thing that cannot be accepted in Italy is soggy precooked pasta and this is what we got after rather indifferent hors d'oeuvres The unsalted bread, a Tuscan tradition, was hardly edible. The hamburger served as a main course was less than mediocre. All of this is rather sad since there has been no attempt to improve the quality of... More

Great service, delicious food, very authentic and beautiful scenery around! Came back twice, once for lunch, once for dinner.

Looking for a place to eat we found that this restaurant had just reopened for the season. Still pretty quiet but even so the staff could not have been more attentive, giving genuine help with the menu and the wine list and ensuring a good dining experience on a quiet night. Food was of a high standard, my only criticism... More

This place was only about 20 minutes from our villa, Erbolino,di Vertine, and it was a wonderful day trip. We toured the castle grounds which were absolutely lovely.(By the way, if you're going up to the castle, there IS parking up at the top.) We parked in the parking lot by the restaurant and had a bit of a hike.)... More

I am a regular visitor to the Brolio Wine shop, and on this occasion booked a table at the Osteria for lunch. My friends and I had the degustationi meal with wines included. Normally you can expect to have the foods and the wines explained but the gentleman who served us seemed preoccupied and just plonked the food on the... More
