We ate very well during our week in Chianti, and this restaurant was our best experience. We ate lunch there. The chef, Simone Muricci, was so cute and enthusiastic. We asked, "What should we eat? What are you most proud of?" and his face just lit up. The food was delicious, and so beautifully served--plus unusual things we didn't see... More

The absolute No:1 restaurant experience for a long time. Chef Simone and his staff gave all their heart and soul so me and my family,(plus our 2 Italian Truffle dogs) to feel welcome in their restaurant. It was like visiting Simones private back yard. Fantastic welcoming atmosphere, great food, helpfull and humble staff. I highly recommend The Ristorante Malborghetto, it's... More

My wife and I spent a week in the Chianti area and this was our favorite. The truffle/porcini egg dish appetizer was to die for.

I was referred to Ristorante Malborghetto and Chef Simone by the owner of the B&B (Cavarchino) I was staying at. I cannot say enough about how enjoyable our day was and I highly recomend this cooking experience to anyone. Chef Simone is a real professional who is eager to teach and is loaded with charm and personality. In additon to... More

We were referred to Ristorante Malborghetto by our B&B owner and it surpassed our expectations in every way - a truly unforgettable experience with memories to last a lifetime. We met Simone, the owner/chef, in the morning and cooked our four course lunch, with his guidance, in the restaurant's kitchen. Our delicious lunch included porcini mushroom bruschetta with rosemary, garlic... More

As part of our trip to the Tuscany region, our party of 8 adults booked a culinary experience at this little restaurant in lecchi. I'm sure we got lost finding it, but there after the day just got better ans better. Simone the owner and chief chef was extremely welcoming and his grasp of English was great. We had corresponded... Located in a dot of a town in the Chainti hills, this place has an excellent, local menu and a welcome staff. There is an indoor dining room, but we ate in the large outdoor patio, surrounded by vines and flowers. A lovely evening.

We were lucky enough to be staying in the village of Lecchi and visited the restaurant for dinner. It was so good that we decided to go back a few days later for a cooking class with Simone, the chef and owner. We expeced it to be instructive, but it was so much more. It was great fun, with Simone... More

Malborghetto's (located in the small and cosy village of Lecchi in Chianti) has been on our diner-list since 6 years. So time to discover the secrets behind the delicious and authentic dishes prepared by Simone by booking a cooking class with chef Simone. A cooking class with Simone is not only instructive but is also fascinating with a high dose... More

What a nice little gem. Great food and wines, reasonable prices and very friendly owners/wait staff. Liked it so much, went back a second time in the same week and glad we did. Highly recommend this as a stop for anyone visiting the Chianti area. Great pastas, salads, steaks, chicken, etc.
