4 of us took the cooking class--two adults, two college students. Simone, the owner/chef, possesses unusual combination of talents not normally found in one person. He is a good chef, he knows wine, he can explain both the technique and the science of cooking, in good English. Most of all, he is unusally caring and of good humor. His enthusiam... More

I have to say I was slightly disappointed by this restaurant! Perhaps my expectations were too high. We visited in August and sat outside in the courtyard, which was very pleasant. The tables were laid beautifully and everything was presented well, the staff were efficient and attentive, the chef came out to talk to diners at their tables... but, with... More

We loved this restaurant! We were greeted, taken care of, and treated like special guests by Chef Simone and another server. The food was amazing, and we really enjoyed the very reasonably priced bottle of wine that was recommended. I would have given Ristorante Malborghetto the highest rating, but I didn't love the atmosphere and decor.

A friend and I took a cooking class with Simone late in September of 2014. This experience was one of the highlights of our 2 week trip to Italy. Simone was knowledgeable and very relaxed, and made this such a fun and meaningful experience for us. Our husbands joined us for lunch to sample what we had prepared in the... More

Went there because of the good advises here on trip advisor. Delicious pasta, bread with truffles and awesome meat. The servants where all very pleasant and helpfull. The dessert "chocolate suffle" was awesome. Only thing that might have been better, the time between the courses took a bit to long. So it took us 2,5 hours for dining. Diner with... More

Just had by far and away the best meal we have had inTuscany! It's a small pretty restaurant, tucked under the church bells, in the tiny hamlet of Lecchi near Gaiole. Apart from the fabulous food what makes this special is the ambience, the fact that Simone, the chef and owner, is out chatting with his guests, when not preparing... More

After a warm welcome from the owner , we had a wonderful dinner. Everything was nicely balanced, very professional and tasty ! The restaurant was fully booked, but everything came on time with a smile and full attention ! We will come back.

We were recommended this restaurant by our hotel (Castello di Spaltenna) and what a stroke of luck! Best meal we had in Chianti. Very attentive service, incredible food and fantastic wine selection. The soups, meats and pasta dishes are all fantastic. Hidden gem in a small little town.

As previous reviewers have mentioned, we also found this restaurant by chance as we were filing in time before we could access our accomodation towards Radda. We had a terrific lunch - the duck sauce on pasta was a standout, so much so that we returned twice more for lunch and dinner and enjoyed this dish again! The steak with... More
