Cooking class

We did an excellent cooking class with chef Simone. A must if you are in the area. The class usually starts at 9.30 and you will cook an entire four-course-meal with starter, pasta, entree and a dessert. Fall 2010--Moglie and I took private class with Simone, then ate everything. It was a great time. Heading back this fall.

The restaurant is very simple and a little old fashion style, but the owner is very nice and welcoming everyone with attention and professional service. We had lovely starters, delicious main courses, beautifully presented and typical of the region. Everything was freshly home made, even the ice cream! I have to say the best home made ice cream I ever... More

When we arrived for lunch, we were received by Simone, the owner. He was very friendly and helpful. We ordered an amazingly tasty bruschette and baccala with pecorino, also delicious! The 'suprise by chef' pasta was really beautiful, with many different flavours. The faggotini were delicious, we would love to go there again and order the exact same. The dessert... More

This was my favorite meal of our 3 weeks in Italy. We started out with an order of bruschetta to share. I took one bite of my first piece and immediately turned to the waiter and asked for another order. It's delicious. Best bruschetta we had in Italy. Next, the mushroom pasta and the naked ravioli. The mushroom pasta was... More

Visited here twice recently, very warm welcome form the patron and all the staff. The food is very well cooked and presented, and the seating, outside under white cloths near the bell tower is enchanting. Can't wait to return!

Another recommendation by our accommodation hosts and again a big hit! I'm coming to the conclusion that you'll be hard pressed to find a poor meal in this area. The Malborghetto is set in the quaint village of Lecchi, tucked away somewhat ... the courtyard tables were all full with 24 to 28 people perhaps testament to the fact that... More

On a recent vacation to Italy from NYC we were lucky enough to take a cooking class with Simone. What a lovely experience! We were welcomed warmly and made to feel right at home. We were even given aprons with our names embroidered on them! The atmosphere was like cooking at home with everyone (my fiancé, two of his kids,... More

You should go here - but avoid busy or inclement nights and a rude short blonde waitress who is poisonous to the place and demeaned the delightful & passionate owner. This talented owner prepares the food during the day then takes orders and pours wine whilst his pair of helpers plate up in the tiny kitchen. Food and wine mostly... More

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel and was excellent in all respects. We sat outside under a canopy and the chef welcomed us and took our order. Our daughter could actually order from the menu which for her was unusual. We had sliced beef and chicken with Gorgonzola sauce after bruschetta and an interesting vegetable pie to start. For...
