We have been here several times over the years but this was the first time since the new owners have taken over. The restaurant is situated on a terrace in Barberino Val D'Elsa, which overlooks the beautiful Chianti countryside of hilltop villages and vineyards. The staff were welcoming and happy to explain the dishes. The starters were delicious especially the... More

Owner, Marco, has it all! Great outsourced pasta made daily from an ancient family recipes thoughtfully paired with his outstanding sauces, nice wine selection, outstanding few, modest prices, and great service. While staying in a local villa, we felt as if we were family in just a few visits. Marco is so very welcoming and always greeted us with a... More

We've visited this place on our last evening in Tuscany (on a Sunday evening) and we were not so excited about the experience (particularly as we drove 1 hour from Panzano to Barberino V.d.E). The food was good, but not extraordinary, compared to the other culinary experiences we had in the region, and it was also quite expensive for the... More

Loved this place. Unbeatable views, good value for food, and excellent quality. Plus, the drive from Certaldo to Barberino was spectacular!

The food was special, the staff were great and the location was superb. I had a ravioli with spinach and ricotta starter which was outstanding and a steak with herbed potatos for main... Alongside this we had a carafe of house red wine (chianti of course) which was excellent, as you can imagine from the location of the restaurant. We... More

The ownership of this restaurant has changed hands since our earlier visits. This does not always augur well but in this case, we have not been disappointed. The new owners have responded to the prevailing strange weather patterns by improving the interior enabling views even when seated inside. The ambience is warm and enticing. The menu is new. Selection and... More

Owned and operated by Marco, this is truly a gem in the middle of the Chianti region. We dined for lunch and dinner on several occasions during our 2 week stay. The food was consistently delicious and service was impeccable. Prices were reasonable and the wine selection was wonderful. A must for those who appreciate great Tuscan food at a... More
