Tuscan dinner

Great meal, nice and friendly service at a very attractive price level - what more would you ask for? Pizzas are great and simple like "real" Italian pizzas and their steaks are really good. Simple dishes, the Italian way - "what you see, is what you get"

An Italian menu the way an non-Italian dreams of eating during their vacation, with plenty pizza and pasta. The food was fine, for the most part, but don't tell the staff that your meat is undercooked (ordered medium, but I could swear that cow was still mooing), or you'll have a very drunk chef come out to your table and... This restaurant represented all the qualities and history of typical Tuscan cuisine. Whils there was a good range of more typical dishes (pasta, pizza), I was particularly taken by the quality of pate, and offal foods. I thoroughly recommend the grilled tongue which was an eye catcher for mine.

We enjoyed every minute of our meals here & we will most definitely be back for more on our next visit. My husband & I travel to Italy as least once a year & make a special drive out to this restaurant each time (as we stay in Firenze) As you will see from some of the pictures, there meat... More

Lovely local osteria, beautiful terrace, great food, local specialities ( we ordered a plate of mixed local appetisers to share and it was a really varied selection. About 60 E for 4 people including 2 massive shared plates of appetisers, 4 mains, 2 desserts. Do book in advance as very busy with locals (always a good sign).

We ate three times at l'Antica Quercia during our stay in Chianti. It was amazing: sitting under the awning and watching the sunset over the valley whilst eating the most delectable food from local sources was an experience to savour. The proprietor, Cristina, and her staff were charming and Marco, the invisible chef, produced the most wonderful dishes to our... More

We regularly travel to san appiano for an evening meal and on visiting today we have discovered new owners and new staff here, unfortunately for us it was downhill from the start. We normally are greeted with a smile, a welcome and greeted as soon as we walk in. However it seemed no one knew who we where even though... More

The owner of the resort we stayed at recommend this hotel and made reservations for us. We had a little trouble finding this place but it was well worth it. We arrived at 7:30 pm to the restaurant..a little early for Italians! One of the main chef's, a lady, came out and spoke with us, had a menu already planned... More

We stayed nearby at the Fattoria Sant'Appiano in April, 2012. Lovely dining experience. Felt like on of the family. Steak Florentine was an other worldly experience. Only locals in the joint. Doesn't get much better.
