Delightful setting. Neat, pretty, flowers, rustic Tuscan setting. This place looks like a movie set from some kind of Tuscan romance film. Gorgeous. Family run with the owners and their kids serving and cooking. Kind of hard to find and judging by the small number of trip advisor reviews, this place is usually overlooked. Food was amazing and YES the... More

Fabulous location, fantastic family who run the place with much love and dedication. Very good food. If you're in the chianti area of tuscany make sure you don't miss this place. It's in the town of barberino val d'elsa.

We visited this restaurant on a very rainy evening, so we couldn't fully enjoyed the exterior, yet still I liked the design a lot. Food was very good. Not spectacular, but certainly way above average. So despite this restaurant is significantly more expensive than the others in the area, we felt like getting a proper value for our money. The... This is my second time eating here. The last time, in 2011, we had a wonderful meal and a fabulous dessert. I was really looking forward to returning there again. The salad (which cost 9 euros) was just greens, pine nuts and some small pieces of pear and they put the oil and vinegar on the table. It was unremarkable... More

We had dinner at this place last summer while staying at the wonderful Borgo di Petrognano which is at the other side of the road. Wonderful setting next to vineyards, great seating and lovely wines and good food. The Fiorentina steak was absolutely tasteful.

We were there by invitation and the expectations were high. Location is superb but unfortunately that evening not everything went well. Forgot to serve the site dishes, the icecream was more like a milkshake without the ordered cream. And we are still waiting for the coffee. But the most anoying thing is that the cats walking in the eating area,... More

While spending some time in Italy, the Tuscany region to be exact. I was introduce to this fabulous restaurant, literally in the middle of nowhere. Located in the countryside, owned by a husband and wife, and their children who help with the tables. A beautiful Tuscan home with unbelievable views, as one of those movies you see o TV. As... More

We loved this place. Not only the restaurant itself is a special place, but the food was fantastic, the service was professional but friendly and the value for money is good (compared to other place in the region).

This restaurant was advised to us by a local, who mentioned prices were a little higher but the food was great. When we arrived the location impressed us. The restaurant is located on top of a relatively high hill, giving a thrilling view of the surrounding valleys. The restaurant itself has been set up with care, with flowers everywhere, a... More

We had a fantastic dinner at Il Paese dei Campanelli last night. Other reviewers were right that the view is amazing -- a great vista over the Tuscan hillside. We couldn't see the view from our table, but we took a moment to enjoy it before heading in. The food was terrific. Our first taste was a small, complimentary plate... More
