Lovely setting, very good food, average service

We visited this restaurant on a very rainy evening, so we couldn't fully enjoyed the exterior, yet still I liked the design a lot. Food was very good. Not spectacular, but certainly way above average. So despite this restaurant is significantly more expensive than the others in the area, we felt... read more

Although the setting is beautiful, the service was non existent and the food poorly executed. The beef and pork fillets were over cooked and the beef fillet smothered in a poorly constructed sauce. The pasta dishes were bland and forgettable. We had to search often for our "server" to even pay our bill. A truly terrible experience.

This restaurant was located about 2.5K from where we were staying. It is setup very nice and the menu is wide ranging using many different pastas and game meats. This is a family run establishment with a 5 Star feel. We had a large party that was treated in an amazing fashion.

We had a lovely evening with a group of 12--family and friends-- in mid-July. The setting was stunning--very romantic but relaxed enough to bring children. Sat on the gorgeous terrace--the food satisfied even the most discerning palates in our group. The service was top notch but not overbearing. One of the most memorable dinners we had on our vacation. Would... More

Delightful setting. Neat, pretty, flowers, rustic Tuscan setting. This place looks like a movie set from some kind of Tuscan romance film. Gorgeous. Family run with the owners and their kids serving and cooking. Kind of hard to find and judging by the small number of trip advisor reviews, this place is usually overlooked. Food was amazing and YES the... More

Fabulous location, fantastic family who run the place with much love and dedication. Very good food. If you're in the chianti area of tuscany make sure you don't miss this place. It's in the town of barberino val d'elsa.

This is my second time eating here. The last time, in 2011, we had a wonderful meal and a fabulous dessert. I was really looking forward to returning there again. The salad (which cost 9 euros) was just greens, pine nuts and some small pieces of pear and they put the oil and vinegar on the table. It was unremarkable... More

We had dinner at this place last summer while staying at the wonderful Borgo di Petrognano which is at the other side of the road. Wonderful setting next to vineyards, great seating and lovely wines and good food. The Fiorentina steak was absolutely tasteful.

We were there by invitation and the expectations were high. Location is superb but unfortunately that evening not everything went well. Forgot to serve the site dishes, the icecream was more like a milkshake without the ordered cream. And we are still waiting for the coffee. But the most anoying thing is that the cats walking in the eating area,... More

While spending some time in Italy, the Tuscany region to be exact. I was introduce to this fabulous restaurant, literally in the middle of nowhere. Located in the countryside, owned by a husband and wife, and their children who help with the tables. A beautiful Tuscan home with unbelievable views, as one of those movies you see o TV. As...
