Fantastic cheese and service

The owner was so knowledgeable, approachable and generous to us. Went a few days in a row for our cheese, salami, vino and snacks. Must drop by if you're in the area

The young man serving spoke great English and told me all about the local cheese. The prices were very good. We tasted some cheese and once chosen our cheese was vacuum packed to travel. We. Also tasted several flavours of chocolate before buying. We would recommend this place to anyone.

I just landed in Italy and ,yes first stop was here. The owner was incredibly friendly and suggested some good wine and cheese pairings to go with the salsicce we bought. Will probably stop by here for a few snacks this week...

Casa del fromaggio, via marchesa tedeschi, 5. Located downtown and seemingly always open, even when the rest of the world is siesta-ing, this lovely cheese market also has breads and other marmalades available for you to take back to your casa. I think they do sandwiches there too, but not sure. I don't know if this is the best cheese... More

One of the friendliest and most helpful shop keepers you'll ever meet guides you through a truly amazing array of cheeses and other local delicacies. A trip to Modica is not complete without a visit.

We got out of this place with bags filled with pestos, olive oils, cheese and other delicatesses. The man behind the counter is really fantastic and had great patience with all our questions.

Do not miss out on this shop if you are in Modica. You will be served by a cheerful and expert owner. He'll go through explaining in detail the produce they have available and provide small tasting portions. Both cheese and salami are of excellent quality. Try the ragusano which is prodoced in the area. Stock up on produce to... More

The culture, charm and taste of Modica, Sicily in one place. Walking to of from town and just when you think you have eaten all you can the gentleman smiling at the doorway (whether you are a customer or not) epitomises the treasures within. With a wide variety of produce - all seasonal as it comes from the local area... More

The locally-produced 'slow food' products on sale are excellent and the owners are friendly and very knowledgeable. We always stock up here when we visit. Highly recommended.
