Best meals - best service and,in our case, a complimentary tasting of chocolate as well as almond products (granita), delicious. then a lift home in a charming little vehicle that could negotiate the tiny ancient paths and drop us at the door of our lovely cave 'Il Vicoletto di Emilio' The range of the food and the flavouring array would... i have sampled the food at this cute Osteria during my Barocco tour. I tried the pasta Tnniruma and pasta MACCU both were delightful and so tasty. all home made including the pasta, so fresh and tasty, never had anything like this before. Would definitely come back again to this cute little restaurant. it is worth the visit.

The place and the menu looked touristic yet the dishes were incredible. Creative pasta menu and various choices of delicious meat course. Dessert also delightful. We were the last table to finish in late afternoon and the staff were cleaning the other area of the restaurant. We could see how thoroughly they cleaned the floor and the toilette. Highly recommended.

If like me you tend to associate Sicily with fish dishes, you are in for a change with this restaurant. The menu (which is in Sicilian dialect, by the way) has really interesting meat dishes on offer that are inspired by the style of cooking of inland Sicily. I had the antipasto misto (which is huge) and the rabbit second... More

Second visit to the restaurant following the good experience last year. Service was fast and efficient(we were a big group). Have to say that the first course was excellent, be it pasta or soup with small meatballs. My main course pancetta al forno was good but a couple had the "meats" and it was nothing to write home about. Avoid... More

This restaurant offers typical dishes from the Sicilian inland and it appears obvious that it has adapted to tourists. The quality of the food was good, but probably better suited to cold or warm weather. It is worthwhile going if in the area.

A surprisingly original menu for what looked suspiciously like a tourist trap, with lots of local dishes that we hadn't seen anywhere else in Sicily. The multi lingual glossy menu, complete with pictures, was slightly tacky but actually quite helpful, and we ended up with two very nice, and pretty large, pasta dishes - one with spinach and broccoli, one... We had 2 meals at this local restaurant on the main street of Modica.Sicily. The products of this area are tomatoes, eggplant and the best olive I have ever had. The tomato salad was fabulous as was the eggplant dish.

I ordered the seasonal dish pasta with tenerezze (zucchini flowers) and the orange salad. It was very good. They gave me a copy of their menu book that shows pictures of the menu items!

This is clearly a long established Modica restaurant which, sadly, we felt has become a bit of a tourist trap. It has a nice authentic feel to it until you see that that the hand written menus in local dialect are accompanied by glossy brochures on every table in about 7 languages with photos of the food. Although there were... More
