Typical Sicilian dishes

Honest local food. Some dishes that we didn't see on any other menu in the region. Tasty! The wine card is an elaborate collection of Sicilian wines including some biological wines

Here is the deal: most gourmands don't want to feel like tourists and Sapori wants to attract all comers. I normally, and with good reason, stay away from any place which has advertising boards out front or pictures in the menu. It almost always indicates average food tuned for the carefree tourist. Seeing that Sapori was recommended from a few... More

We've tried other trattoria's in Modica but still prefer Sapori Perduti. The food is consistently very good. The staff are friendly and efficient. I highly recommend making a reservation for this restaurant since it's popular with both locals and tourists.

Menus om big posters with pictures should have warned us off, however it was recommended by the hotel so we decided to give it a try. So wrongly! With good Italian fare I think of fresh first class produce, with no fuzz and tasty flavours. This place has none of it. Tasteless appentizers and pre-made pasta (frozen?) with something the... We were recommended the Osteria in Modica for dinner and we were not disappointed. We sat outside and had a fantastic meal with a lovely wine. Service was amazing given that the restaurant was full. Totally recommend this restaurant.

We were recommended this place, and it was fab. Lovely home made food, limited menu, but the food was fresh, and prompt. Olde worlde feel inside, but pleasant service, and nice food. Worth a stop for lunch.

Book early if you want to eat inside. But we still got pestered by a street seller flogging roses. Good menu choice in English with pictures. Very tasty and good wine selection.

Visited Modica for a day and had an incredible meal here! The menu is in a book form, with pictures and descriptions in several languages which is perfect as the staff don't speak much English. We visiting on a Sunday afternoon and it was heaving with locals - what a great atmosphere!! Wonderful selection of food and very reasonable!!

Our group leader brought us here, a traditional, but not touristic restaurant. The ambience is wonderfully rustic, with many interesting items hanging on the walls and fresh checkered tableclotths and napkins. Very inviting. The food was amazing, the best ravioli I've ever eaten! The staff were welcoming and cheerful. There was a mix of locals and tourists. I highly recommend... More

My husband and I ate here during our visit to Modica in May. The restaurant serves traditional Sicilian food, with an extensive menu. The food is well prepared and tasty. Service is excellent. We both had vegetarian dishes, which were delicious. The restaurant is centrally located in Modica. It was busy with many lunch guests even at 2:30 in the... More
