Enjoyable May Day Lunch

Went to this restaurant on the 1st of May at lunch time. It was extremely busy but we managed to get a table fairly quickly. My husband and I both had anti pasta starters which included pepper and onion relish, tomato bruschetta, grilled aubergine, garlic bread, boiled egg, cheeses, rice balls... read more

We were recommended this restaurant by a resident of Modica and sincerely thank her for it. We arrived without a booking but were welcomed in and handed a picture book menu with all dishes pictures and explained in several languages. Service was prompt, friendly and professional, but the waiters were all happy to let me attempt to order in my... More

Different from the usual spaghetti and pizza, with lots of nice vegetables. Good service at lunch, excellent quality/price ratio.

If you are done with eating pasta and pizza day in day out, then this place deserves a visit. Plus, good value for money.

Good choice with the menu in English with photos of each dish Large portions, two courses was more than enough. Our tour operator Chic and Unique tours had also arranged for the owner after dinner to take us on a 3-wheeler Api ride through Modica Alta

We ate our main meal of the day here 3 days running. Everything was great. We loved the Sicilian sampler appetizer plates. A great chance to try typical dishes. All of the pasta dishes were good, but we all favored the ricotta-stuffed raviolis with red sauce. Many locals, as well as small groups of tourists, eat here. The staff managed... More

We had dinner and I ordered the ravioli, my husband ordered the lamb stew. The lamb was OK a little tough. The ravioli were good but the sauce was over cooked. The waiter was not very friendly. The best part of the meal was dessert, Buccolini, I don't think I spelled that right but they are like profiteroles.

This was a very nice family run restaurant with a homely, warm vibe and a great menu of local dishes. Lots of simple but delicious comfort food and dishes I'd never seen or heard of. Prices very reasonable (5-8 Euros for each main). It is popular with the locals not simply a touristy restaurant, like one of the other reviews... More

Been there twice. . They have unique local dishes utilising only truly fresh ingredients.... Their soups are presented abundantly in a wonderful ceramic pot..... Absolutely fantastic. Pasquale must be the fastest cameriere i have ever met... Yet nothing escapes his watchful eye! Great food and great service.
