On our first visit we had made a reservation & the restaurant wasn't very busy when we arrived. So we had time for a nice, leisurely chat with the owner & were presented with some traditional Sicilian bread. Then we had 2 pasta dishes; ravioli and a pasta with spinach, ricotta, herbs & currants. Our main courses were a rabbit... More

We were told this was a restaurant that was really a locals place by the tourist office. Unfortunately it turned out to just be another tourist restaurants were tour groups stop for a meal. The food was avg. to below avg. really too bad you can't really on the tourist office

I have been to this restaurant on many occasions and through all the seasons. It is basic in terms of decor , but the food is ‘authentic’ with the signora going out of her way to ensure that her customers leave the restaurant happy. The prices are reasonable and it is an ideal place for taking the family , pushchairs... More

Having been in Modica for four days having mixed success with restaurants, we finally found this gem. A proper old fashioned Italian family run restaurant. Courteous service and simple but well executed local dishes for a predominantly Italian clientele. To top it all the prices are unbelievably cheap: 1 antipasto, 1 primi, 2 main dishes, a desert, wine, water, 1... More

Old fashioned, courteous, genuine good food and mostly Italian clientele. A really enjoyable lunch. Well worth the visit - a good mix of meat and fish in a convivial atmosphere.

the dishes are simple but very tasty and make use of all you can find at hand in Sicily: vegetables, herbs, spices, olive oil of course. Antipasti, primi and secondi piatti, do not hesitate but try to save room for desert as the 'jellies' with cinammon, or almond, or ...i don't remember all the flavours... are great. If you get... Found by accident as we wandered around the winding streets of Modica but what a place!! Ravioli for starter in an amazing tomato reduction then pancetta in olives, capers and fennel seed with side of rosemary potatoes finishing off with a classic cannelloni....making my mouth water thinking of it...u really have to go most authentic place we visited in Modica

Loved this typical Sicilian restaurant's home made feel to its delicious food. Very cosy in one of Modica's back street alleys. Very friendly staff too!

A local directed us to this ally-way restaurant off one of Modica's main streets. He said it was food like his mother would make - and it was. Very local, lots of 'locali' and no rushing. The best item was the MACCO DI FAVE (soup of mashed fava beans). I'm still trying to replicate it so if you go and... More
