Good food but the service was slow

We stumbled upon this quaint little restaurant with a cute garden at the back whilst wandering around the old town. It was nice to see some vegetarian and vegan food on the menu. I just wish we had found this restaurant earlier. Everything was excellent and we were well advised in our choices (one of us vegetarian, the other not). The antipasti were particularly delicious and memorable made with lots of local produce.

Found this from the vegan friendly sign outside. Friendly staff, loads of vegan options for me and meatballs for my husband. What's not to like?? Reasonably priced food and wine. We've really enjoyed it. More and different vegan options than in our local restaurants, not a risotto in sight :-)

When we were walking round the old town we spotted this place . The menu was different from the usual tourist meals. The waitresses were friendly alas none speaking much English but having the signs against the meal noted with v we could see that it would be a surprise but had a rough idea of some of the ingredients.... The front of this restaurant didn't look so promising but the sign advertised local and "slow food". The small restaurant was full of Italian couples and groups. The food was particularly interesting and made from local produce. Try the Susumaniello wine, a delightful dry local red. The menu was all in Italian but the wait staff and owner were very... More

Me and my husband came to this beautiful town and as always we look for the less touristic places to eat. This is a small restaurant with the most beautiful and peaceful backyard. The food amazing and if you're into organic, vegan, etc etc, this is the place to go. Super recommended!!

Good Service. Nothing was too much trouble. There was a vast selection of home made produce and the pasta dishes were absolutely fantastic as was the local wine.

To start with, the restaurant refused to serve tap water. When the waitress brought the menu I realised it was only written in Italian and I didn't have the slightest clue of what I was reading. The staff did not speak a word of English either. The octopus balls appetizer was nothing special. The main meal which was a local... More

Hidden in the narrow streets of Gallipoli, this restaurant offers good service with young people working there. Menu shows lots of vegetarian food with the addition of seafood and meat meals. Local wine is quite good, local barriqued grappa is tasty. Food was very good and it was more than enough on the plate.

Whilst I applaud the exclusion of many meat dishes and inclusion of some vegetarian ones in this restaurant you need to do it well. I do not eat meat so it was refreshing to find a menu with so many choices open to me. Octopus balls were, however, fairly tasteless and overcooked. Local prawns were better, but under seasoned.
