Great seafood right by the sea with beautiful views

Paper tablecloths, plastic chairs and cups so not sophisticated but freshest seafood ever. Typical seaside menu. Simple cooking but top notch flavours. Mussels, clams, sea urchins all fantastic. Gets very busy lunchtime but the service is fine. Same sort of prices you'd pay all along this coast... read more

Very plain restaurant - white garden furniture, strip lighting under a "lean-to" - but the most amazing fish. No-one speaks English - but just point to what you want and it will be cooked to perfection.

This restaurant is right by the sea, when it gets rough you will even get sprayed !!! it is not nice looking, the tables are in plastic, so are the crockeries and plate , and glasses, but who's cares, the atmosphere is typically Mediteramean, and the food you will get is fresh and tasty and it is authentic Italian seafood,... We loved this for a quick Sunday lunch while at the Conchiglie beach in May. A proper neighbourhood restaurant the service was efficient and friendly serving excellent fresh seafood and chips. Wish I could go every weekend but alas too far from London :-( There is outside seating but we were advised to stay on the covered terrace as the... More

We loved this place, the food is excellent, it was one of the best sea foods I have ever had. The restaurant is by the sea and everything is so simple. You eat on a paper cloth and funny enough drink wine on a plastic cup but nothing really matters. You have super fresh, perfectly cooked sea food that you... More

La Maruzzella was buzzing and almost full when we arrived for lunch. It is right on the sea in a simple set up -- paper tablecloths, plastic plates, inelegantly dressed waiters and what everyone has come for -- pure and simple fresh seafood straight from the sea. For starters we had raw shellfish and fresh sea urchins. We then each... More

We went there twice during our trip. The seafood is so fresh u could taste the sea... It's a casual setting and service is brisk n efficient. The staff although busy still has time for some nice words and friendly banter. We had a table by the sea and it was amazing watching the sun go down n devouring the pasta... More

For 4 weeks of holiday we spent in Gallipoli we used to have lunch here almost every day. And sometimes also dinners, it was close to our apartment. The seafood here is WONDERFUL. The restaurant is right on the beach, so you eat freshest seafood and look at the sea in front of you. So nice! :-)

Everything said by other reviewers about the rather abrupt service and lack of amenities is true, but the place is still a fantastic experience. You can sit with the sea lapping just beneath you and eat their fabulously fresh ricci, grilled seafood and good pasta washed down with the cheap and not very alcoholic, slightly fizzy, white wine. The bill... More
