Researching a new Tour with emphasis on kilometro zero: food, wine etc. Excellent find.

While researching lovely Gallipoli a local suggested we try the Angolo Blu. Grazie. Best suggestion. The chef Fabio does it with style: all local products, seafood off the family boat, delicious dishes. Served by Giuseppe who offered the advice we needed to enjoy our meal to the full. It is a nice restaurant even if they don’t go overboard with the décor and tables. I had excellent service from my English speaking waiter. He really was friendly and very helpful. The food wasn’t what I expected…..I love fresh tuna and ordered this. It was, very oddly, served already thinly sliced over some unseasoned rocket (rugula) R.egrettably my tuna... More

Lunch at Angolo Blu was just amazing. Starting with service, always smiling and helpful. The shrimp risotto more then delicious, and octopus baked in the oven especially good. The desert to die for. Nice wine list, reasonably priced. For 2 starters, 2 mains, 1 bottle of water and desert we paid 65€.

I only eat seafood in this restaurant so I don't know about meat selection. Seafood were amazing. I don't know what it's called, ceviche ? tuna and sword fish with lemon juice and olive oil were amazing. And gambi (shrimp) were so sweet and so fresh, melt in my mouth. Sea urchin was so rich and tasty both raw and... More

Highly recommended! Really excellent meal of octopus, almond crusted prawns, and gnocchi with shrimp. The staff were tremendous... They were accommodating to someone with a fish allergy in the restaurant, translated various dishes for those with no Italian, I was lucky enough to get an extra prawn, and they made adjustments like half orders and condiment additions with ease. Most... More

Situated in the old part and narrow roads of the town, it was not easy to find but once we did the food and service was just fabulous, enjoyed the sea food.

Away from the very touristic restaurants you find Angelo Blu. First time we passed , we didn't enter. A grey facade, a dark , small street and a little board with the name. The second time , because of the good rating on Tripadvisor , we entered. All the good things are true , very kind staff and fresh sea... More

We had such a wonderful dinner here. The food was delicious. The menu has a fairly small selection (which made a pleasant change actually from the pages and pages of pizza and pasta we were seeing). We had a shared starter which was amazing. We didn't have a booking, arrived about 10pm and had to wait outside for about 30... More

We shared the Antipasta L’Angolo Blu which consisted of eight pintxos-sized servings. A large prawn baked in almonds; mackerel in pesto; anchovies marinated in olive oil; cuttlefish marinated in a sweet-and-sour brine; a whole small local fish fried in batter; strips of calamari in aubergine sauce; chunks of warm shrimp in a rich cream sauce, a swirl of duchess on... The food was fresh, smallish choice the night we went but definitely one of the better places in the old town. A lack of vegetables though was disappointing.
