I love this place. The owner rememered me after 3 years. The food is great. The money is worth it. You have to try the "Stifado". A excellent dish with meat an onions. We had a nice evening without all the drunken tourists.

If you are visiting Malia you must visit this family run restaurant. Take a stroll into the Old Town (up the hill at the side of the church on the main road through Malia) away from the hustle and bustle of beach road, Petrino Garden is shaded by beautiful grape vines, (visit later in the season and you will be... Situated in the Old Town near San Georgio's. Family run restuarant, excellent food Greek food cooked by George and served by Marina. Very pretty, with vines, a lemon tree and various plants.

Situated on the road, leading to the beach, running parallel to the main strip of Malia is Petrino. The food - we had traditional Greek food - is really great. You can tell it's all homemade and the chips are so good. Nice for an evening meal away from the busy strip. The family who run it are really welcoming,... More

The only place in Malia we ate at twice. With all the available places, that is as good a recommend as it comes from us. Cracking traditional greek food.

Family owned restuarant, situated in the old town. Have changed their name to Petrino Garden. Very pretty surroundings. Excellent value. All food is freshly cooked by George and brought to the table by Marina. Wide choice of food. Children catered for.

We always visit Petrino when we're in Malia - it's always exceptional - wonderful food, attentive service, lovely people. We were there for their opening night (last week) and so enjoyed it. They've had to remove one of the lemon trees because the roots were causing a problem, but now it's even more welcoming - light, airy, spacious, and of... More

Wow, what a find! Petrino Garden is located in old town Malia (tucked away from the crowds and the bars). It is one of the prettiest taverna's on the whole island of Crete. We visited a few times during our two week stay, and my parents have been going for the last ten years. Marina was a fabulous host, she... More

The Petrino Inn or Garden as now known is quite simply the best restaurant you will visit. Welcome is warm and genuine, and the menu is varied, freshly cooked and great value for money. The owner explained the dishes and what ingredients were used and spent a lot of time with each table. If you want a meal to remember... More

Our hotel was based not far from this restaurant and it always looked so pretty with its lights and lemon trees. The food was amazing - the meatballs in particular were really good! The service made the experience excellent - very friendly and she spoke to us about each of the courses and gave us recommendations on what to try.... More
