We went here as a treat on the last night of an all inclusive holiday, recommended as a family run authentic Cretan restaurant by the bar man at our hotel. We were not disappointed. We were greeted by a friendly and knowledgeable lady who explained the menu and helped us choose some delicious food, accommodating my husband who does not... More

Much quieter than San Gorgio just across the road. Lovely to sit under the vines and the food is freshly cooked and very good. Perhaps not quite the depth of flavours at Milos, Odas or Kalesma, but it's very tasty. Friendly lady who serves you, and as she appears to be the only waiting staff, probably just as well it... Very friendly, home-like atmosphere. Lady-owner is charming! During our first visit we were met as valuable guests, while during our next visit we were treated as best friends. We recommend this restaurant to everybody, especially to families with children, our 8-years old daughter liked it very much!

We visited this taverna twice during our recent stay in Malia. The owner is a lovely lady who had time to have a chat. Would highly recommend the stifado at this taverna and the desert was also beautiful.

I love this place. The owner rememered me after 3 years. The food is great. The money is worth it. You have to try the "Stifado". A excellent dish with meat an onions. We had a nice evening without all the drunken tourists.

If you are visiting Malia you must visit this family run restaurant. Take a stroll into the Old Town (up the hill at the side of the church on the main road through Malia) away from the hustle and bustle of beach road, Petrino Garden is shaded by beautiful grape vines, (visit later in the season and you will be... Situated on the road, leading to the beach, running parallel to the main strip of Malia is Petrino. The food - we had traditional Greek food - is really great. You can tell it's all homemade and the chips are so good. Nice for an evening meal away from the busy strip. The family who run it are really welcoming,... More
