Lovely peaceful place

Great to sit back and watch the sea while having a refreshing drink. We didn't try food but what we saw being served looked amazing. Worth a visit

I'm extremely particular about where I spend my time! The original awkward customer! Blue Sea Tavern with it's picturesque views of both the ocean and the mountains is ideally situated on an isolated, unspoiled coastline, far from the madding crowd. Here I can write my novels in peace and tranquility with top notch food and and superb service. This is... More

Our meal here was interesting.GREAT setting and good food ..portions not as big as elsewhere but NOSTIMO .Crazy author bloke in the bar made the trip worthwhile..most romantic setting in Malia and free sunbeds if you go during the day

Raffaele, Patrizia, Stefano and Daniela are four italian tourists who, on July 2015, were privileged to enjoy here the typical cuisine of Crete. What about the meat, great, but the most interesting part came with the fish: large kitchen, accompained by the warm hospitality of Catherine. We went back 3 times for both lunch and dinner. It's cheap and the... More

My wife and I love this place and every time we have visited the area from a few miles away, we do our 'pilgrimage' walk to this Blue Sea Tavern by the sea! The large timber constructed tavern has a wonderful authentic natural feel and faces out onto the open sea just metres away. Plenty of sunbeds and brollies are... More

I spent several days during my holiday at the beach at Blue Sea. It's a fantastic family run place that's on the quieter end of the beach close to Malia Port. Having said that it has become a lot more popular since I first frequented the place three years ago, especially when I boat party arrives. I didn't really have... More

What a delight! I am so glad we found this part of Malia! Not many people are aware that it is here which is fantastic. You go to the main beach and its crammed full of sunbeds and people forcing you to buy drinks. However, when by the blue sea taverna, its like you are in a different place. So... More
