Warm, friendly place that gets busy fast!

We went here 3 times during our trip to Flaine. The first night it was just my husband and I and we ordered beef to cook on the hot stone and tartiflette. We also got salad, chips and bread. Needless to say we were stuffed by the end! Cooking on the hot stone was a fun experience and the... read more

I was really looking forward to our last night in Flaine and chose Chez Daniel for the raclette and hot stone. The starters are v limited so picked the french onion soup which was bland to say the least. Much to my disappointment, the raclette wasn't presented at the table. I was given a plate with some melted cheese and... More

This is a warm, friendly place with good service and good food. It's fun to share traditional, local dishes with friends and family. The dessert crepes are delicious.

We visited here twice during our weeks break, the food is ok but nothing special and a little over priced compared to other eateries in Flaine,The servers are pleasant though and the atmosphere at night is good.

Best place in Flaine for local dishes! Very nice atmosphere and wonderful staff. Try one of the 'specialites savoyards' (raclette, fondue, pierrade etc.) and finish with a Coupe Colonel 😃

I have been coming to Flaine for 27 years, and no visit would be complete without a night at Chez Daniel. Just a great sizzling, singing, frite-tastic night of joy EVERY time.

We had dinner with our 2 sons aged 9 and 12...they loved the food, especially the hot stone where they could cook the meat. Children's menu was very good value, good quality food and a fresh crepe for desert. Service was excellent as was the pichet of red wine...a good meal all round.

A good place to eat if you're a crowd, there's nothing so sociable as sharing a pierrade or, new to us this year, a braserade (a table-top BBQ). All the meat was excellent quality. We are always there in half-term week so this may explain why it was so busy - we had to book a few days ahead and... More

This is not a venue for a nice quiet relaxing meal. They cram you in, are very busy and it is very noisy, but if you don't mind that then the food is excellent. My son and I had the beef on hot stones (as the majority of people seemed to have), and the beef was top quality. My wife... More
