We visited this restaurant having read other reviews on Trip Advisor. Yes, it looks like (and is) an ice-cream shop from the outside. We ventured in and went downstairs to the restaurant which looks like it was once the cellar of the shop above. No windows. There were two other diners. We were greeted by the very friendly, English-speaking owner... More

In town center, very friendly English speaking owner. Good meal at a reasonable cost, just what was required after a long drive.

We didn't actually eat here, but stopped for ice creams a couple of times. The cassis (blackcurrant) was delicious and fresh tasting -- just like eating the fruit itself -- and other flavours were excellent too. Can't recommend it too highly.

This looks like an ice cream shop/cafe from the outside, so you would barely know there's a restaurant in there. But there is! The vaulted room downstairs is gorgeous, but we sat at a table outside and had a range of beautiful food. Have eaten here twice, and both times the food was great and the man who served us... More

Don't be put off by the store front and having the restaurant tucked away downstairs. The food was fresh, tasty, and just perfect after a long day of traveling. The chef is from the islands, so she cooks what she grew up eating. As a family of 5 (children ages 5,7, &9), its pretty hard to please everyone. But here,... More

In the heart of Nuits St Georges it's a coffee shop with a beautiful restaurant cave downstairs. She's a relocated Islander and he's a relocated Frenchman. She makes the best accras I've ever tasted, and he speaks my kind of English while he grinds the coffee. I've eaten here maybe 10 times and always look forward to returning.

Took a long time to get attended to and we didn't see the waiter for at least 15 min. That was not a good start. The table had crumbs on it and the food was average. I saw the waiter come out of the bathroom after filling up a water carafe, a little disturbing for me at least. He just... More

Very deceptive little place, was taken downstairs to a well presented dining area, excellent atmosphere, excellent food, excellent service. Very friendly owner and very helpful. Highly recommended eating place. Owner does speak good English and very accomodating.

Had a great meal here on a brief stop-over on our way back from The Alps. The proprieter was most welcoming and explained the menu.He recommended some dishes for us all to try and was very generous with the bread and delicious dips. Our 16 and 14 year old sons loved the food and so did we. The downstairs eating area... More

Had a very enjoyable meal at Le Caveau du Diamant, the owner was very friendly and personable, passionate about the dishes on his menu and spoke English to us to help explain the menu. A taste of Martinique in the bourgeois town of Nuits St Georges is not what I expected at all! Would thoroughly recommend a visit.
